Manitas Restaurant

We made a quick stop here after touring Fort Clark and caught them just before closing time on a Sunday. I had the chicken sandwich and it was okay. My husband had some sort of club sandwich and said it was pretty good. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. She made sure we were not neglected. It's a small place with a very welcoming atmosphere. The food came out fast and we were back on the road in no time.

We ate here during a weekend away from San Antonio. Let me tell you it was amazing! I genuinely think this is the best Barbacoa I've ever had in my life. The papa and chorizo and the bean cheese and bacon tacos were also fabulous.Note: if you are San Antonian like us or used to the smaller breakfast tacos keep that in mind. My husband ordered 3 thinking they were a smaller size Will definitely make an excuse to drive out to eat here again soon!

The Mexican plate was great and there was plenty of gravity the service was not very long only a few min the straw on the paper was dirty only on the paper it a down side

Very good food for a very great price! My favorite is the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and brown gravy!

Just tried this place for the first time and I was not disappointed! Portions are big and affordable! I had the delicious chicken fried steak while my boyfriend had pancakes, eggs, and bacon. They serve breakfast all day which is why the whole place was packed! Sit at any table that's open. The staff was friendly and managed to get the food out hot and quick. Will definitely be returning soon!

Very good, big breakfast tacos. My daughter had the chicken fried steak and it was very good. Saw the omelette on another table with big fresh slices of avocado and it looked so good.

Great find, the salsa is awesome! Some of the best salsa I've had, chips are great! The enchiladas and tacos are hard to beat. The service is great, small family run business

Service was average. Huevos Rancheros were definitely not the best I've ever had and were mediocre at best. They got my order wrong and brought me sausage patties...which appeared to not be thoroughly cooked....they corrected the order. When I quietly voiced my health concerns about the sausage, I received only an apology. The owner was made aware of my concerns, but never came to address it. To add insult to injury, they wanted to charge me a different price than was listed on the menu. It was my first visit to this restaurant....I was optimistic going in...disappointed going out. This being my experience, a lot of people seemed to be enjoying themselves at this very average restaurant. I think they are just accustomed to it....I am not and I won't go back.

Outstanding food with great friendly service. The enchiladas are home made and my wife's favorite but cheeseburger with onion rings requires a nap afterwards but we'll worth it, think that is what big oak tree beside restaurant is for!!!
