Maggie's Family Kitchen

Awesome service and yummy food! We ate here on vacation, and will definitely come back when we are in the area again!

Trying to find an uncrowded restaurant on this busy Thursday proved difficult but not impossible when we found Maggie's on Everhart. Our party of four walked in and were immediately seated. It's a tiny space, only about a dozen tables but the waitress was welcoming and took our drink orders while we reviewed the menu.The cuisine leans heavily on Italian selections: pizza, calzones, pasta, subs. They also offer sandwiches, gyros, appetizers, burgers and American favs like chicken fried steak and catfish. We ordered fried mushrooms, eggplant parmigiana, a custom calzone, chicken club with soup and a chicken fried steak with salad and mashed potatoes.The fried mushrooms were fine, hot and crispy, but nothing special. All the entrees were good, but not great; the soup a very strange mix of veggies, the calzone filling but meh, the eggplant a huge portion but not extraordinary and the chicken fried steak was tasty but the gloppy gravy and potatoes with tough skins weren't appetizing. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. The space looks like it's out of the 1980s and could use a facelift but it was clean. Total for four entrees, one appetizer and four teas was $76.80 including tip.

Ordered to-go. I got chicken parm, wife ordered the Alpine Chicken over Rice. Mine was prepared perfectly, the noodles and marinara tasty. Wife thought they were a little heavy on the garlic but still found her dish very palatable. Both of us got the creamy turkey veg soup as a side. I could do a large bowl of the soup.They weren't busy, a couple of tables in use at the time I arrived. Cozy little place. We last went to Maggies when they were on Alameda. Not sure we're ready to sit down in cramped spaces with strangers even yet (not that I would call this cramped)...but when we are, I would recommend Maggies.

So much bread! My honey tortellini was the best thing I've ever had. My boyfriend was pretty jealous. His lasagna had burnt bits but he still ate everything lol.

Staff was very nice. Food was certainly better than fast food or your everyday chains. I really love supporting local so I have themA try. Caesar salad lettuce was fresh and crisp but dressing was from a bottle. Calzone was good but didn't care for the marinara at all. Very chunky and greasy I can feel the heartburn coming.

Place is a little slow, not for when you are in a rush, but food is excellent and service is good

Great service and great food! First time here and we'll definitely be coming back. Nice and quiet local restaurant with an abundance of choices of pasta dishes and a variety of pizzas.

I would rate it a zero, except the cheese bread was good. I ordered the Spicy Seafood marinara, and I could not eat it because the calamari was so tough I could not chew it. The fettuccine Alfredo that my sister and Nephew ordered had no white Alfredo sauce, and the noodles were tough. They both sent theirs back. The entrees came with soup or salad; even though my sister and nephew did not eat their soups, they were charged for them. The marinara sauce with the cheese bread and the mozzarella cheese sticks was like chunky water. It was flavorless. There was no ambiance to speak of. We will NEVER go back.

A wonderful family restaurant ! The food is truly great and I look forward to eating there! The waitstaff is excellent and you have a nice dining experience!

Just had a great meal! Fast friendly service, quick with refills. Prices are reasonable.
