Lydia's Cone House

As I walked into HEB through the exit doors, I saw this sign advertising Lydia's Cone House. I made note of it as we went shopping.While my family was paying for the few groceries, I told them to meet me at the ice cream place. I was greeted by a very friendly & helpful gal, I think Selena, since the name is on the receipt. She suggested the Raspberry Truffle, which I sampled. She told me I could sample any of the ice creams. I scoped out which ice creams I wanted. My family came over and we all ate some ice creams - Black Cherry, Mackinac Turtle Fudge, Raspberry Truffle, Pistachio, Banana, and Chocolate Fudge Brownie. We were all satisfied and enjoyed our frozen delights. I got a waffle bowl and it was nice and crunchy and had a vanilla flavor to it. Very good!If time permits within the next two days, I may be back. If not, it was a nice relaxing time eating ice cream and playing games.

This place is doomed. I attempted to purchase a pint of ice cream and was told they don't accept cash. The person working stated she had 30 minutes to close and she already counted her drawer. Poor customer service and even worse business practice. When you have a cash customer for the way over priced ice cream take it I will take my business else where and suggest you do the same. I'm only giving 1 star because I can't give them a minus rating.
