Lukas Bakery

Interesting little bakery in old town La Grange. Famous for their "pigs in a blanket", but other items are equally delicious, especially their brownies! Limited selection but otherwise a great place for baked goods.

This is a smaller bakery and that said they had a limited amount of options. Sadly, again, there are no gluten-free options. The lady at the counter though was friendly and pointed out a place across the square that had some things. I can't really rate anything as I couldn't eat it but the staff was nice.

Sweet ladies working inside. Great selection of items and good prices. The bread looked amazing! But someone bought the last loaf as we came in. Will definitely go back!

Outstanding! My family has been coming here since the 60s. Best pigs in the country! and don't forget a dozen cherry nut cookies for the road.

The most delicious pigs in a blanket / kolaches on this earth. The owners are also really good about checking their voicemail every morning in order to attend to special customer orders. We stop here on the way to the coast every time. It can't be missed

Great pigs&kolaches sweet dough and been for the last 50 years for me and many more.

Best pigs and kolaches in this area. They have their sausage made specifically for them. Can't beat the price. They also have other stuff.

I admittedly no longer stop at bakeries often, but I picked up 18 pigs for a family gathering on Saturday - they were warm, fresh, and freaking amazing. Hands down, Lukas' Bakery still has the best pigs in a blanket anywhere around. If you are driving through the La Grange area, I PROMISE that these pigs blow both Weikel's and Hruska's pigs out of the water. The people working are always very nice and accommodating, which is always a plus. Don't miss out on this place.

The best pig in the blankets and streusels in the area! Nice, nice people working there as well! Prices are very reasonable as well. A "win" all around.

Sweet in all the right places.I ordered 6 kolaches -- all flavors except prune even though I am old.I prefer kolaches from Lukas Bakery because they let the filling act in the role of the sweet (or savory) and let the pastry be the delivery system. A+.Same goes for the savory pig in the blanket. A+Delightful cream puffs follow suit. A+Coconut macroons are straight up sweet and coconutty (sp)? ANext time I roll by I'll make a special trip & get more and try some of the other offerings.
