Los Pinguinos Snack

We found a great place for mangonadas. I got mine with pickles and Lucas. They have a small but good menu.

I have been exploring corn in a cup establishments in the Laredo area and was sorely disappointed by los pinguinos. Among this, orlando, and Mr. Corn, this was by far the worst corn in a cup experience I have had in Laredo thusfar. There was not as much cheese as the other establishments, barely any mayo, and I honestly could not even tell if they had put butter in it. But worst of all, it was soggy at the bottom as if they put water or possibly the liquid left in a can of corn into it. Little flavor, poor quality and quantity of ingredients, and an overall sad experience.

I enjoy this place. Good food but wait time is forever a lot of the times! Workers are kind and do their work well. I would give the quality of food 5 stars but the wait time is what brings it down to 3.

Only two customers in the store, wait time was 15 minutes (mind you drive thru customers are checked out first). The shaved ice selected was strawberry with ice cream and a Mexican cob corn. There was no option to have the white Mexican corn in a cup :(( the shaved ice was alright no enough flavor other than the strawberries but then again they had a dark appearance and not fresh. The corn in the cob was disappointing, the kernels were as little as a one year olds tooth. The hot sauce for the corn was flavorless and lacked a sour spice kick to it, and was slow as molasses. In an effort to make it better employee was asked for a lemon and all they had was bottle lime juice (no thanks I like a freshly squeezed lime) and to top it off business was having heir ice delivered and instead of planning before-hand or reserving the parking space for the delivery man, I was asked to go move vehicle for the vendor all I wanted was to enjoy my Mexican corn and shaved ice, but I had high expectations for his venue. Not impressed, next time stay with walking across to Mexico for the same items and cheaper price.

If you like eating food from employees that don't wash their hands properly you should eat here. I happened to come by here as I have many times in the past through drive through. This time I went to the restroom inside only to find that they have no soap in the restroom. The ironic thing is they have a sign that says you need to wash your hands to return to work for all their employees. I'm sorry but washing your hands with water only won't do it for me. That is disgusting and I will not be coming back. Para los que no entienden inglés. Este lugar no tiene jabón para que sus empleados se laven las manos en el baño y eso es antihigiénico.

I bought three strawberry raspas for my younger siblings and I realized that the strawberries were old and rotten. I told the lady behind the counter and told me that the strawberries were fresh. She called the manager she said the same thing. I told her, "This isn't fresh, it's rotten. This isn't up to health code you're selling me rotten strawberries with ice." The manager kept telling me they were fresh this morning. Annoyed at the fact the manager wasn't listening I just told her I wanted a refund. They gave me a refund but I was really disappointed by the fact that they didn't listen and I even showed them the rotten strawberries. My younger siblings don't deserve that.

First time coming to this location and there was a dead bug in my mangonada. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I always order different menu items, like the corn in a cup, raspas, and cheetos with cheese, and I have never been disappointed. I'm especially fond of the strawberry raspa with cajeta and nuez- absolutely divine. I've ordered several items at once and they've never messed up my order. Absolute favorite for the family!!
