Los Mirasoles

We came here for breakfast brunch. We've been here more than once. We have had breakfast at other places down Padre Blvd... this is by far, the best we've had. If you're looking for an authentic breakfast like grandma would make on a weekend morning, look no further! It is a large place with plenty of seating. Their corn and flour tortillas were not prepackaged. It's the real thing! Especially those pizza sized flour tortillas! They even have Mexican Joyas! We had to have the traditional manzana and ponche flavors.

Good authentic Mexican food and a good value but VERY slow service and VERY long wait (over an hour) when they are busy. If there's a lot of cars parked out front, don't come here. You'll be disappointed because of the wait.

We almost didn't stop because of the star reviews. Ignore the stars, sit down with your family, be patient and wait for an amazing meal. We loved the service and it was quick. Could the wait be slow, yes I could see that happening but it's real authentic Mexican food made fresh. Flavors were amazing. Our picky children were fighting over the last corn tortillas and fajita meat. We found our new "dive" on the island for Mexican food. Great prices with large portions.

Fresh & delicious homemade Mexican food. Attentive and friendly service a big plus. Very reasonable prices and fresh squeezed lemonade. Hurry offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Waited over an hour for our food. We asked for a manager and nobody came. When I asked the server why our food took so long to come out he said it was because the plates we ordered took the longest to cook... I order chorizo and potatoes?? It does not take an hour to cook chorizo and potatoes! He continued to argue with me about how it's not his fault and how he can't comp the meal. I told him I'm not paying for this food and left. The food was ok, definitely would NOT recommend this place!!!

This restaurant is a joke. The corn tortillas are store bought, they serve like it's a children's plate and they charged for ever flour tortilla for $2, the coffee is horrible and $2.75, a meal of $30 came out to $48 because they charge to use your bank debit card. Do not go here!

The service was amazing, the food was delicious. My kids enjoyed it very much. The only reason for 4 stars is because the 1st table we sat at had sugar ants all over it. Overall would come back for breakfast again.

We ordered takeout. They did not have vegetable fajitas and they made them for us. They were delicious and very fresh. Excellent guacamole. We highly recommend it. The staff was super friendly. We would eat here again!

Maybe it was because it was the day after a big concert but the waitress was the only thing great. The cook got the order wrong, the food had no seasoning, it took forever for the chilaquiles and I've never eaten chilaquiles made like that, ever. They made us pay for everything and after a minute we didn't argue and just paid the bill. We did not eat the food except for the tiny cup of menudo which was delicious.
