Whenever in "The Valley" I always get my craving for home made flour tortillas! I'm always looking for a good homey spot. Mom suggested we come to Los Comales and try it for breakfastThere was only 1 waitress running around, and looked pretty busy but she still took care of us. She quickly took our order and brought mom a coffee and brought me a huge glass of ice tea because when in Texas that's what you gotta have, sweet ice tea! She also brought us a salsa and toasted flour tortilla chips. Salsa needed a little extra kick so I asked for an order of grilled jalapeños (Chiles toreados). I gotta say, this place is pretty straight forward. A daily special runs for under 6 bucks and it includes coffee. We didn't see what was written on special board because we already had our hearts set on machaca and egg flour tortilla tacos. Machaca is dried shredded beef that's cooked along with the egg. The three taco special with refried beans is 5.89 ish.. under 6 and you can order different kind. I had 2 machaca with egg and 1 potato, chorizo with egg. I also ordered an extra flour tortilla to try my beans. Oh what an awesome surprise, the refried beans tasted like they've been cooked with bacon grease! Nom nom; totally reminded me of home. Everything was so delicious. I'll be definitely be back for lunch, I hear they have some pretty mean mole enchiladas. My bill for the 2 of us was 17.24. That's pretty inexpensive for a home made cooked breakfast. I was very happy with my food and the service. If you're ever down this way, try the taco specials.

Simple styling no glitz to dazzle you in to visiting. Great menu selection without a bunch of deceptive pictures. True tasting Mexican food not slathered in hot & spicy sauces, you can enjoy the true flavor and actually know what is on your plate. Food served pippin hot, tortillas home made and served hot as well. Definitely recommend for quality food at good prices.

Such a great place but the food all tastes the same. I love the servers and they can't be beat but the recipes aren't being followed. Somedays the food is a amazing and you will have say King Ranch Chicken enchiladas the next trip and they will be so blah.

Mehhh. Very small establishment. Don't go if you are not fluent speakers of Spanish. Waitress could understand a lick of English. Me and my coworker went for dinner while working here for the week and was stared at by all the locals as we walked in. Very odd but we said" it is what it is. 15 minutes later locals poured in and setup for Mexican bingo night. So tgat was odd. We had the only table left with non players. They were anxious for us to leave. Not terrible food but won't go back.

Don't bother. They acted kind of disappointed we came in. We were the only ones here and still had poor service. Food was OK but I've def had much better.
