Los Charritos Express #2

Tried a few taquerias in Port Lavaca, these were the best tacos I had out there. I was out there for two months on business & became a regular customer here.

The food is made fresh, I ordered a beef fajita and a Barbacoa con tortilla de harina. The tacos were tasty and fresh they were served with a side of charro beans Delicioso!!

I can tell how good a place is just by ordering their tacos, and they really didn't let down here. You wouldn't think a place this far north from the valley would have not only decent tacos but great ones.Priced at $2 each. They have a great variety of meats for your tacos, I normally order fajita, tripa & al pastor. Can't go wrong with any of them. The flavor is just on point, the al pastor has a fantastic taste. The fajita had some nice charred edges that add to the already great flavor. The tripa can be asked soft or crunchy, I prefer a mix of both.This place is a real gem, reminds me of the flavors from the valley. I highly recommend it.

6/19/19 update - Do not try the Carne Asada plate. It was nothing but gristle & chewy. First time I ordered they gave a small salad & guacamole. Next time nothing. They are going downhill. Won't be going back here. They charge more than Habaneros & not as good.

Food is good but be prepared to wait for a little while since food is prepared fresh. You can eat here or take it to go. Tables are outside you can enjoy the weather. Downside is they don't have a restroom.
