Awesome escape room, loved the multiple rooms and the fact that the game master Karah didn't solve all our problems for us/tell us how we could've won. She was great! We just missed the final solve and still had a great time! Would recommend the one we did (the bomb one). I wish there had been slightly less "red herrings" in the room that weren't involved in the game but overall lovely experience!

Very challenging and still fun. The entire story line was excellent. We enjoyed the complex clues and the realistic props. Love that the employees threw in some additional surprises. Great time for our entire family.

The room was too dark to feel adequately engaged. Lots of small letters and felt like I was fumbling around in the darkness. If you're over 50, don't waste your money. I gave up within 10 minutes due to my inability to see primarily.

This was my birthday gift and it was awesome! The story is great, the clues are thought provoking and everyone that joined us (Ages 19 - 56) had a great time. The overall experience is around 90 minutes, with 60 minutes being devoted to the actual game. If I could give them more stars I would. (Spoiler: We did not escape!)

The room setup was nice. The clues and the general experience was pretty good. I subtracted three stars for reasonable causes. One, a vital prop was broken when we got it. (Minus 1)The gentleman host was rude. (Minus 1)He blamed the faulty prop on us when it was obviously broken when we got to it. (Minus 1)So I would give it a so-so on recommending it to someone.

Lame. No sense of what was going on or what the objective was. Thought the face your fears would be a little more scary. Does not feel Covid safe as there is no way they can clean or wipe down anything. I would not recommend this at all. The tour of the ship was cool. But the escape room was a HUGE let down.

Always a fun time! We tried their escape room Beat the Blast a few years ago for our anniversary. Today we went back and tried it again. Still didn't win, but had more time left than before. We enjoy participating in activities on the ship, and these escape rooms are some of the best in the State of Texas. Love that you can tour the ship before or after the game. They also have wonderful experiences throughout the year, like February stage door canteen to commemorate the commission of the ship ( a 40s swing dance type event where you can get dressed up), in Fall the last several years they have hosted Top Gun movie night on the flight deck, and this year they had the second week, a showing of the second Top Gun Maverick. The other amazing thing is that you get to sit out among all these planes and helicopters under the stars and enjoy the history and have a cocktail while watching a movie. They also have the original fighter jet on their flight deck, matching numbers that was in the movie ( Tom Cruise sat in). Every October they also have the haunted ship experience for Halloween, and finally for kids if they are part of the boy scouts/ other youth groups they have sleepovers history tours offered a few times a year as well ( our friends son did this with his dad and their youth group and loved it!) all in all, Lexington is an amazing piece of history and I advise anyone coming to or living in Corpus Christi Texas to check it out.

We visited in February 2020, and while we would recommend the USS Lexngton, we DO NOT recommend the escape room On the Lex.First, a key piece of the room which was supposed to decipher clues was broken and it took about 20-25 minutes away from our experience. The host and a technician finally came in and worked on it, couldn't fix it, and they just finally gave up and gave us the next clue so we could move forward. At that point, they should have refunded us our restarted our time. We ended up not escaping (and we would have with 5 extra seconds) had this not occurred. Of the two escape rooms they have, only one was functioning since the host told us the other one had a group that "went crazy" in it and broke many props and they hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet. (That should never have happened to begin with since you are supposed to be closely monitored during your entire experience.) So of the two rooms, one broken enough that it was not open to the public, and the one we did with a major prop broken. Need I say more? Well, if you insist...We've done at least 8 escape rooms prior to this one, and we found this one to be the worst in terms of organization overall. For example, in addition to the broken prop, when we were trying to decipher the last clues, we were located in a place that was far away from the screen that provided us necessary clues. So in order to read the clues we had to go back and forth between the screen and the place where we needed to work to solve the escape room--very frustrating and illogical and a complete waste of time. Also, because this escape room IS in the USS Lexington, there are many aspects of the room that are part of the USS Lexington, and we spent time trying to figure out if those aspects of the room were original to the USS Lexington or part of our clues. In other escape rooms that we have been to, every clue in the room is essential. In this one, there were many extraneous clues that were nonessential that didn't add anything to the experience. Another frustration was that we were a group of 4 and were paired with 4 other people whom we had never met (since there is an 8 person maximum to the escape room), and only one member of their group spoke English. We are all for being multilingual as we are bilingual ourselves. Unfortunately, our fellow group mates' language was not one that we know, and as our host told us before commencing, communication is KEY for this experience to work...and not speaking the same languages was frustrating. So your experience will be highly impacted depending on whether you will be grouped with strangers and how well they will communicate and work as a team. Finally, the place needs a very good cleaning. It was disgusting to--in the dimly lit room--be searching for clues in props that were in dark spaces only to find fingers grazing grim and dirt (and who knows what else) in the dark. I recommend bringing Wipes or hand sanitizer with you on this one just because of the ick factor--or better yet, skip this experience altogether! Overall, of our many escape room experiences, all of which would have received the top star rating, this is the first one star rated escape room we tried and would not recommend to anyone. One final note: you need to buy your tickets online before you arrive as we were told they do not sell tickets for the escape room at the USS Lexington. Even though we read about this experience on their website before we arrived at the USS Lexington, we were surprised to learn at the ticket booth to enter the USS Lexington that we would need to purchase our tickets to the escape room online, which did using our smart phone--another confusing and completely unnecessary inconvenience.

Extremely disappointing and unorganized. You and your group are given too many puzzles to solve at the same time that have no bearing on the actual game. No sense of linear progression. Random props that have nothing to do with the actual game. Unclear instructions are given.
