Living on Island Time is our new home away from home. The entire experience was perfect. I booked the rental through VRBO and Lisa the owner called me right back. We booked a last minute cacelation on Memorial day weekend. The transaction was quick and the rental agreement was emailed with access codes for entry. After driving for hours with the kiddos, we arrived around lunch time. Our cottage was beautiful... perfect in fact. The theme was "Endless Summer" and was wonderfuly decorated in a beach theme. Our unit had a queen bed and a pull out couch and kitchen. Our inlaws were in the unit behind us and lets the kids stay in their extra room... which allowed for a romantic weekend alone. Restaruants, fishing and parks are all in walking distance. Hands down one of the best vacations I had. If you are ever in the Rockport area give Lisa a call and stay in one of her 5 cottages... sit on the beach... feet in the sand... sun on your face... and thank me later.

Wasn't expecting a response from owner that really indicated my family staying at their cottage was a burden. We paid for three nights and got a half of a roll of toilet paper to start our three days off. Read the contract before you stay here. The towels had makeup on them. No dish soap for kitchen. They brag about the T.V. and amemities and I am telling you it's not what it's made out to be for $100+ a night. Owner even called us and just made excuses. No excuses acceptabe, as you're in the 'service' industry, so serve! They got our money way in advance!!!! If tending to you're 'common folk' patrons is too much of a burden, then don't serve common folk with a pompous attitude. Filthy towels people! If the towels are visibly filthy what do you think the sheets are like? So I am updating this to reflect our last night. I had to get a comforter out of the closet that is available for sleeper in sofa. I opened the bag it was stored in and a wave of dog odor escaped. This is a 'pet friendly' establisment. I have dogs as well but would never let one sleep on a comforter even at hotel/motel/b&b, etc. Another example of how they don't clean their cottages. In other words, the owners want guests to clean up everything while they sit back and wait on mailbox money. All fine and dandy but your room is basically at the hands of prior guests which was one of the excuses the owner used.

Couldn't tell you how nice the place is cause we never made it. Calendar on their web-site showed the cottage was available, called to reserve one, not available. Fishing guide had reserved all the rooms. Ok fine, then mark the rooms as reserved on the web-site, duhh! Don't bother calling, they won't answer the phone or return calls. Email is your best bet, but I wouldn't waste your time. They were quick to let me know that they always book up through the summer and don't really care if I reserve a place somewhere else or not. Owner didn't like being held accountable for the lack of communication, innacurate web-site, and lack of customer service, so he canceled our reservation the day before our trip. If you want to give your money to someone who doesn't appreciate your business, who won't return phone calls, and may cancel on you at the last minute, than this is just the place for you! In my 15 years of booking fishing trips, this is the first negative experience I have ever had, and we never even got a chance to look at the place. Very unprofessional!
