Las Rocas

I came here at lunch since I was in the area and it rated very high on Google, as well as Yelp. The building is small and doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside there are 8 or 9 tables/booths to choose from.I ordered a carne torta, and just thought it was alright. I've had several tortas in my life and this one seemed to be nothing special. Meat, lettuce,tomato, avocado, bread.I also added an aqua fresca de Sandia. This was the type that uses shaved ice, not like a water at some other restaurants or food stands, which is not my favorite type. I also tried a banana liquado to see how it compares to my favorite place in houston.. well, it wasn't nearly as good or well put together. A lot of ice chunks, guess they don't use high end blenders here. Overall, atmosphere here is not the greatest, and I don't think they turn their lights on, as the interior is just natural light in the building. Not sure how they stand out from all the other mexican food places in town.I saw every other table ordering tacos, so apparently I should have ordered those instead.

Great Authentic Flavor and service. Tostadas de carne are the best dish, the price is very decent!! Don't forget to tip the family of this business!!!

Enchiladas were extremely spicy but had good flavor. I ate them but sweated through them. Charged $2.35 for each enchilada. Ordered agua but no refills so charged twice. They have a snow cone menu but no longer make them. The kids got paletas and ice cream from the freezer but they were stale and frost bitten. Hubby had the carne torta and it was excellent. Lesson? Order what they're known for and don't stray from the menu. When they say spicy they mean it.

I had their torta de pollo and it was huge! Very tasty. Their licuado de fresa was DELICIOUS. Great customer service and very clean place. I was very happy with my visit. I will be going again soon.

Good tasting tacos, just wish they had more meat variety. Price is cheap and the natural fruit drinks were tasteful and thirst quenching

It was ok... had better! A little pricey fir antojó. Ordered 2 tortas, 2 tostadas and 2 aguas paid $27

Food the best in the valley, authentic! We been eating there since they opened my children are grown up now and still crave las rocas! We go there like 3 times a month. You will not find this great taste anywhere else.

Nice, chill spot, that's hidden but goodFood and great for a lunch , food is homemade. I enjoy coming here and getting a fresh flavored drink also ! Tortaas are big everything is good !!

super good food & amazing service!! the man who owns it and his wife are so nice and so welcoming as soon as you come in they treat you so nice. Plus The tortas are amazing will definitely be coming back!!

Good little Mom and pop style restaurant. I had chicken tacos. 4 of them had me stuffed. Not fancy, just good. Tacos, a side of frijoles and a sprite set me back a total of $13.20. Just what I was looking for today.
