Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant

I met an old friend for lunch today at Las Palmas. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff were very friendly. My friend ordered the egg and pancake breakfast and I had the cheese enchilada plate with corn tortillas. The enchiladas were okay but nothing special. The plate also comes with beans and rice. They may have been running low on refried beans because I got a very small serving of them. The Spanish rice was horrible, very watery with no seasoning. The highlight of my lunch was the corn tortillas. They were homemade and delicious. I'm not going to say that I will never return here because this is where my friend likes to eat. I will say if I come back I'll order a couple of corn tortillas with some butter, now there's a lunch.

We live outside of Devine, TX ... and come to Las Palmas occasionally when in town. In general, we have received adequate food with alright service. Today, I ordered 2 beef quesedillas with double beans (no rice). I get home with the order to find that we were given chicken and not beef. I called to discuss this and was advised that it was a mistake from the kitchen, not the order taker. Absolutely no offer to make it right on a future visit. I guess we will just start consistently going to one of the many competing Mexican restaurants in town. Very disappointed!

Food is good although the service you get is just not worth hassle because by time you done with that you will you just lost your appetite. My husband asked for a small tea to drink with his meal and was told they had free refills by time he paid he got charged a large sweet tea because they said he got 2 refills during his meal. Well heck I've gotten more then that at other places and I've never heard free refills but after 2 refill we charge you a large drink so won't be going there again. They also charge your card quickly so when you catch the problem they shrug there shoulders and say we already charged your card .. oh well .. next in line ‍

Enjoy eating here all the time. Service is great and so is the food!! Their fajita plate is the best. Such great flavor!

Have been here a few times. I'm not sure why all the nasty reviews but here's my 2 cents worth:The food is good. The service is better. Have not had a run in with the owner but if I do, I will update as to my experience. I have to be honest. I haven't visited the restrooms yet, but will also comment on that if I ever feel the need to make a pee pee while here. Breakfast is better than lunch/dinner here. Just my opinion. They have VERY good menudo. The tortillas are a bit thick, but taste good. They do not have free refills on sodas, but they do have a wide selection of drinks. They ask you when you pay if you'd like to leave a tip and actually add it themselves. Just draw a line thru the tip space or place a zero there on the receipt and no worries. I just think this place is good. Will be coming back frequently.

Nice environment, good food, friendly waitresses. The food is very enjoyable. The service was fast

Terrible. Can't believe this place calls itself a Mexican restaurant. No cheese dip. Sour salsa. Watery guacamole. Just sad!

Devine has the best gorditos Juan's not here Las Palmas is not the best in Devine but was just OK Tex-Mex

This is the best Mexican restaurant in town, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Great taste, great service, and great atmosphere. If you're ever hungry in Devine make a stop, you won't be sorry. Yum, yumm, yummy!!! Also to that dumb bitch alexi that gave this god given restaurant a one star, I hope you're doing well.

We drove into town and found Las Palma's Mexican Restaurant along a busy street. Stopped in and we had the chicken gorditas, beans and rice were good. Service was good, the food was ok. Sign reads homemade tortillas but our plates did not come with any. The food is reasonably priced. I don't think I would stop in again.
