Great customer service. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. Our drinks were always full and the food was the perfect hot. I ordered the chilaquiles and a taco of chicharon. My brother ordered the potato and egg plate. My cousin ordered tacos of beans and cheese. Our friend ordered ham, egg, and cheese tacos.We each enjoyed our meals. It was my first time in the area.

The most delicious and tender carne guisada I've ever had. My party of 10 all had this and we all really enjoyed our meal. Sodas were served from a can with a cup of ice on the side. The sweet tea was actually Lipton iced tea.

For those of you that like a good menudo, this is the place to go on weekends. I also like their Mexican food...it's very good no matter what you order. I live in San Antonio and have been going to Lane's Cafe for years. The one good thing about this restaurant is that they are very consistent when it comes to the quality of their food and service. Highly recommend it to anyone.

WoW Drove from McAllen to Lanes Cafe as we had read GREAT reviews. It was a very very bad choice. We had to wait exactly 1 hour to get served, after served I asked for my tortillas and a drink, that took another 20 minutes. I ended up requesting my plate to go. Important to mention the food is great but the service is the worst I have experienced. Served us chips with NO sauce was another let down. Please don't allow this to happen again as the reviews we had were GREAT. WORST SUNDAY DRIVE EVER. SORRY
