Iconic. I've been making the drive for over 30+ years - best ever. Not always open so call or check their fb page.

This was a nice surprise. I came here about 2 weeks ago on a work trip with 2 friends. It's located basically out in the middle of nowhere. When looking at the restaurant from the outside, you'd think it was closed down decades ago. We sat down and ordered our food. It took a little bit of time getting our food but only because one person was handling everything. She took our order, cooked/served the food and ran the register. The restaurant was even recognized for providing great service to the military back in 1962. I doubt I'll be back in the area anytime soon, but if I am, I know a good place to grab a bite to eat.

Loved the history behind this restaurant! The woman I met is surely hard working. Love the old school menu they have. The food is okay. Very greasy. It's a one stop, let's try it out kind of place for me.

I started stopping in regularly in 1979. Homemade everything and it's all delicious. All the years I ate there were nothing less than special. I recommend Lala's highly to all travelers headed South. If it's out of the way, take the time to get there. It's well worth the trip. So glad they're still alive and well.

It's a long drive, but this is probably the best Tex-mex food in the world.

Lala's may be the best mexican food in Texas. People should travel far and wide to eat at this place. Everything about that place is great.

I've been going to this restaurant since at least the early 1960's, and my father before me. This place has absolutely AWESOME Mexican food! My wife and I often drive about 200 miles round trip to eat there and it's worth every mile. The town is just a wide place in the road now but it used to be an oilfield boom town. Tacos, enchiladas, chalupas and guacamole are all delicious! It's just Way too easy for your eyes to get bigger than your stomach here. If you're ever in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and eat here!

Been stopping by to eat at Lala's for many many years, but this last time we waited over an hour for our food..... perhaps it was the wrong time or the day, regardless I'm going to think twice before I head over there again.

We were excited about visiting Lala's for years until we finally went. It took a while since your meal is made when the order goes in and after the people in front of you got theirs. No biggie. We were busy looking at everything on the walls. We got two large Mexican plates. We dug in and it was so good. Until about an hour later and had the worst indigestion while burping old grease. While eating you don't taste it. They need to keep the oil/grease new every day. The belching is so bad and tastes nasty.
