Great location. Quiet. Nice amenities and helpful staff. Reasonable prices. Definitely plan to stay again.

Near downtown Rockport which is convenient. The shower was tiny, they forgot to leave sheets for the pull out sofa the first night so we had to make due bc the office closed at 8. The back sliding door lock didn't work and the aluminum security bar didn't actually hold so we had to wedge the coffee table in a way that would secure the sliding door. Although it was the back door, we shared a patio with the neighbors that was separated by a 3 foot tall iron rod gate. I worried about our kids safety every night. The condos are smaller than the pictures make it out to be. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to easily cook for a family of four and a family of three who joined us one night for dinner. Overall, it was just ok.

A nice enough plClean. Nice view until the new house being built is finished. But the Wi-Fi is terrible and the main TV was impossible. We had the front desk lady come up and show us and she said operating the TVs is messed up in all the units. She has to bail people out all the time with their TVs she said.

I am in a wheelchair and need to have wheelchair accessible accommodations. I made reservations 9 months in advance and paid the down payment, followed up by the final payment on time. A couple months before our reservation, I received a call stating they had double booked our condo, and asked if I minded if I were moved. I explained that I needed the handicap accommodations that the condo I reserved and signed a contract for had, and I could not move for those reasons. I was assured that I would be in the condo that I had contracted and there would be no problem. Then two days before we arrived, (we were already in Texas) I received check in instructions and they were for the wrong condo. When we arrived, the people at the desk tried their best to find a condo that would work for me, but they didn't have anything that would work. They were very friendly and tried, but no luck. We ended up leaving as it was evening by now and I said I would call the next day. When I called, they offered to make some changes to another condo, but I already had checked into another place as my views of Laguna Reef were soured and I had lost two days of my vacation time due to their mix up.Because of the change, it will cost me considerably extra for this vacation. I contacted the Manager and asked if they would help reimburse me for any of our extra costs and they would not. Be careful if you have any special needs when booking, you may not get what you had signed up for.

I don't know why anyone has written a good review on this place I love it. The ladies in office are sweet, the pier is great and the pool is always clean. First time, I stayed was in a standard hotel room. Second was in the condos and it was great! The bed was so comfortable and clean.

The hotel rooms are actually different from the condos. Same name different owners. Condos are great. The one we stayed in was recently remodeled. New tile threw out. Granite counters. Great view. I'm a snob when it comes to places to stay, the only reason we came here was because of a family reunion for Mother's Day so I was very surprised. Staff was great. Rock port was a much nicer area then I remembered from the 90's. We will be back.

It's an older place, worn, but serviceable. The manager literally makes folks wait until exactly 4:00 o'clock to check in. "Sit on the couch for 20 minutes, then I can check you in." Felt like kindergarten.Rest of the staff is pleasant.The balconies are NOT private, regardless of the advertising wording. Probably great for folks who want to party with everyone on their floor. Bring ear plugs or lots of alchohol to be able to sleep.Great pier for fishing.

Nice place and enjoy my stays here BUT I think this place has a big problem with the locals coming and enjoying the amenities that we pay for. They seem to not use the guest ID bracelets anymore. I see people come park and unload all their crap and move into the pool area the pier and BBQ pits. Other than that, this place could be a great place to visit.

There's an old adage that states, "You can never go home again." It seems to apply to vacation destinations, too. Laguna Reef used to be our summer "go-to" in Rockport. It was considered a top motel at a reasonable price with an included pool/spa and pier. Years ago the motel units were sold as condos, ostensibly to bring in more money to keep the place in good condition. It is unfortunate for current condo owners because the run-down property has definitely not aged well, and the warm hospitality has all but disappeared. Our recent return to LR was shocking and sad. The potholed parking lot and dilapidated elevator make poor first impressions. The pool area doesn't open until 10AM (parents be warned your early risers will have to wait!) and has a list of other rules as long as your arm. There are rules (and signs to remind you!) for checking in, wearing tags, pets, elevator doors, trash disposal, street clothes, etc. On top of that, there is an overall shabbiness and lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance that speaks volumes. Rusty window AC units, dead plants in planters, peeling paint and failing double-paned windows are in abundance. Trash bags were left by a door on our floor for 5 days and are probably still there. I don't think your average vrbo-ers care about trash disposal and neither does the staff here. Laguna Reef was once a prime destination in the area, but don't expect much anymore. It's now a mediocre beach motel with lots of rules, a shabby appearance and less than quality accommodations.

Best place to stay in Rockport! Beautiful rooms, swimming pool, 16+ hot tub, non smoking facility, close to downtown Rockport, and an amazing private fishing pier!
