Go somewhere else. Our family has been coming here for about eight years. We've enjoyed the place for several years and love having the kids be able to run around. However, the new management really doesn't care about customers. This place is no longer fun. Too many rules and too little fun. The new management rides around on a golf cart looking for infractions. It's like they get off on catching minor violations. We had a scavenger hunt today to take pictures of the rules. We took over 100 pictures of rule signs in about an hour. Our favorite random rule is "no Canadian quarters in the washer". They have rules for their rules now. In addition, They didn't confirm our reservation. They mischarged us twice. They closed the hot tub. They removed the wifi. They don't provide clean towels. They didn't bring us toilet poster. Parking is tough with strict rules. And the pool is freezing even in the summer. There are much better choices. *** UPDATE ***This is too good to make up. The manager just came up to me and my nephews and said that scooters aren't allowed. We are now looking at the 30 page rule book to see if this rule is real. (The rule book is so long that it has a table of contents.)

We lived at Lagoons during the winter seasons only from 2019-2023. At first, this was a fun place to live. We really enjoyed the area, and enjoyed the residents of this park. However, things started to change rapidly. We discovered that there was a large group of Winter Texans in particular that were very "cliquish", and exclusive. They were nasty and acted and spoke like old crotchety mean people. It made living there a challenge at best. They made it known if you didn't "belong". It was like high school, and it was disgraceful. Then in 2022, they started raising the rent $100 every 6 months. We began paying lot rent at $420 monthly in spring of 2020. By the time April 1, 2023 came, rent got raised to $675 a month, NOT including power. All this while amenities decreased. Such as, the hot tub they had on-site broke, and the new owners just chose not to replace it. They also decided not to let winter Texans keep their rigg on their preferred site through the summer, even if they were paying rent. As a result, the long time Fitness Instructor quit, as well as many long time residents selling and moving on. So you need to be aware, that there is brand new ownership, and new management- both of which are very uncommunicative and not helpful. There are a ton of rules and regulations. And they keep raising rent. It's a lovely property, but until/unless the new owners/managers pull their heads out, it will NOT be a FUN place to live or stay, and it will be expensive. BEWARE....

We have been coming to Lagoons as a winter Texan for the past 5 years. During this time we have endured some excellent management, very poor management, and lastly Hurricane Harvey. I am writing this today to assure you all that Lagoons is back! We have a great community feel to our park and winter Texans are like family to each other. The park is revived after the storm and working with everyone to ensure a pleasant experience. Come and join us.

I have an extremely responsible 18 year old... He is 6ft 2, 220 lbs. he's an excellent swimmer, much better than I am. The management questioned him at the pool with my 10 year old daughter. They said a parent had to be at the pool with my daughter, not another adult. This is not due to misbehavior, they just arbitrarily came by the pool to talk to my kids. I fail to understand why her caretaker ( my adult son) would not suffice. We've come here for years with family, and I've never felt welcomed by the management. We have now been here for an hour and I am hating it. If it weren't for the family being here, I would not come.**update. Just sitting here at the pool and management came by and told two older gentlemen they are not allowed to wear their tank tops in the pool..the gentlemen just left.

Sleeping around wit The Hylands watch for our FB Page.....Lagoons Rv Resort is located in Rockport Texas and well there are alot of Rv Parks to choose from in the area, can become overwhelming at best. Lagoons is a very nice, clean, well thought out, and very nice atmosphere. It does appear to be an older crowd and possibly a large amount of folks who stay here either seasonally or regularly as most folks know each other. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Things to do never end if you want to stay busy, bands, church, classes, meetings, indoor pool, gatherings and such. We were in and out doing beach, fishing etc and still felt like the community. Alot of trees which is always a plus and paved spots with all the amenities to include cable. Spaces are somewhat tight yet this is expected in this type of costal area. Cost not bad and they do offer the discounts, pet friendly (will require papers on animals). Look out for the older gals in golf carts directing units in and out they were a hoot. Will definitely keep this place on the radar.

Okay campers, workcampers, vacationers. My wife and I have been workcamping for quite some time ! Worked at some absolutly beautifull rv parks and resorts, with might I say great people. About three months ago we got invited to come to rockport tx and work the summer at LAGOONS RV RESORT in rockport, we love rockport, there are really wonderfull people in the sea side little town !Ill get to the point, avoid LAGOONS RV RESORT, if you want to enjoy your vacation, it is not a pet freindly, people freindly, or kid freindly park, all the staff is amazing, but the managment treats it like it is a prison camp, these people will lie to you, make your reservations and then not follow through ! Of course theres a no refund policy, no exceptions ! These people act like the gestapo ! They literally threw an elderly gentlemen out of the park, because they were concerned if he died, there would be too much paperwork, come on managment its an over 55 park anyways, if im not mistaking, age DISCRIMINATION is against the law ! They ask there staff to do things and then try to make them the fall guys, they say the residents dont follow the rules, when in fact everyone we talked to followed the rules but did not think the way they were approached was acceptable. Management stated on occasions the people in the park do not matter, shame on them. Lots of the residents are annual and they definetly matter, as should each and every resident. Perhaps if the owners and upper management truly cared about the park they would get out and talk to the residents and hear how truly most of them have been talked to, confronted, intimidated and threatened or harrassed. I truly hope for the permanent and annual residents something changes, they are all wonderful people who want to live in a resort, be happy and never be disrespected as we have witnessed. We were discouraged as work campers to not socialize and/or help any residents. If you want to enjoy Rockport like we do we suggest you look at some of the other wonderful properties in the area. Enjoy your travels ! I guess our mistake was not reading reviews! These are peoples opinions and they for the most part, accurate , live life and be happy ! Beware of this park, or at least its managment group ! Thanx yall. I would give a zero but it wont let me !

Best park we have ever stayed in. Nice people, Great Winter Texan destination! Never been to a park that offers so many fun activities (Bocce Ball, Crafts, Pickle Ball, Horseshoes, Shuffleboard, Dances, Shows, Nightly card games, Bingo, Bunco & Texas Hold'em to name a few. They also have Land & Water Aerobics in the beautiful indoor salt water swimming pool. Bike rides in this small coastal community are delightful. They also host an amazing group of quilters. If you get board at this resort, its your fault. The entertainment is wonderful and the people are so friendly. My husband dropped me off here for 2 weeks by myself (with no car) while he worked out of town at an oil rig. I was immediately welcomed into the activities and those two weeks flew by. The park is centrally located which allowed me to walk or bike to H-E-B, Walgreen, Walmart, the Historic downtown shopping area and multiple eating establishments. I fell in love with this park and have come back four years in a row for the Winter Texan Season. There are return guests that have come for 15, and up to 20 years. That speaks volumes about the park. There is plenty of areas to walk your dogs and the park is very pet friendly. Our pups loved walking down the street to Memorial Park's dog park. They also loved riding around town and along the beach in the basket of my bike. They loved the "Dog Beach" where they can play in the water. The only negative I could find is that some sights are snug, making it a tight fit for larger toy haulers, and parking a large truck at your sight. However, there is lots of parking all around the 5000 sg. ft. Activity Center in the center of the park. All in all, I think the park is amazing!I think you'd be hard pressed to find a nice park with nicer people and genuine caring staff and management. I witnessed them pull together over $3000 to donate to the local Little League of Rockport. Pretty fantastic!

Nice RV park, kind of a dime a dozen around here. The front desk staff is really rude and "territorial". I went by with some friends to drop off a member of the RV park with her stuff. We proceeded to get lectures about how "this is our home" and "how would you like it if someone pulled up to your house with a bunch of people (3)". This particular "karen" proceeded to tell us we needed to just leave because we aren't allowed there. So if you pay to keep your RV there, don't plan on bringing any friends to stay, heaven forbid you fit more than just yourself in your RV. I would suggest finding a place with friendly front desk staff.

Nice and clean RV park. Speed limits in the park are not enforced. Showers do not have large enough hot water tanks. Don't plan on showering there. Also the only park I've been to that locks the showers at night. (@2100)While speaking with some of the people they have made it clear they didn't mind that the speed wasn't enforced and would rather not have kids riding around. Obviously I know that's not the opinion of all but they were not just weekend campers. Also, the grounds crew has no regard for you stuff. They mow with zero turn mowers. No mulcher or bagger, they just mow and blow grass all over your trailer, coolers, clothes (ours were drying) and outdoor kitchen. He drive around my kids bikes and left tall and didn't mow it, until I walked around the corner and looked at everything. He just stared at me (@5' away with the blades still running) and when I moved the bikes he mowed a 2' strip and still blew grass all over everything and me. He then just smiled and drove off. Cleanliness A+Pool A+Office staff A+Everything else F
