There are no flautas like these --- anywhere (PERIODT)! My taste buds celebrate every time we visit . Their endless runny sour cream is the secret reason I love this place.

Came for lunch with my sister and mom and was a little skeptical about this place but wow!!!! The food is delicious!!!! The flautas are soooo good and their sopa is amazing!!!!! Place is clean and servers are nice. The sopa has beans in it and so much flavor. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town.

La Unica has the best damn flautas in the history of ever. Ever. If you should find yourself in Laredo for a vacation...wait, let me rephrase that. If you should find yourself in Laredo on your way to Mexico, San Antonio or anywhere other than this sleepy little town (sorry, not really a tourist destination outside of the George and Martha Washington festival), make sure to stop here and be prepared to have your mind blown away by these rolled tacos. Yep, rolled tacos. Flautas. Taquitos. Whatever you want to call them, just eat 'em.The tortillas are extremely thin and crispy, the meat is pulled and tender veal, the refried beans are smooth--perfect for dipping, and the toppings are the perfect accompaniment to these rolled tacos. Crisp sliced tomato, pickled jalapeno and fresh made guacamole that starts to brown if you introduce it to air for too long-- so eat your tacos fast! Hot sauce and crema are present on the table for you to kick up the flavor, and I suggest you take full advantage of that. Although you definitely don't need them, they're awfully tasty anyway. Tostadas are the only other food offered on the menu, and are basically these tacos unrolled with all the toppings piled on. A flat, crispy tostada with veal, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, and queso fresco. Also fantastic.Tacos are offered in groups of 2, 3, or 4, and believe me, 4 is more than enough to fill you up! And just 2 tostadas are plenty enough to kill your hunger and make you groan with delight. They also offer Dos XXs, Sol, Mexican Coke and Joya--that means real sugar, baby, none of that high fructose corn syrup stuff! And everything is cheap, cheap, cheap. The ambiance isn't much, and the napkins are like tissue paper, but after you take your first bite...you'll completely forget anything other than the crisp, mouthwatering veal. Enjoy the best damn tacos in the nation. Then order another plate of them. And if you happen to make it to Nuevo Laredo, check out the original. They're even better. I promise.

Nothing impressive. It's fluatas and tostadas..they both lacked flavor. I was really excited to try it too.I guess it wasnt meant to be.

Look, it's flautas or tostados, with or without cream. Get the cream ("crema" en Espanol). There was no fideo, sadly.Best flautas ever. The Token Mexican Boyfriend (tm) was amazed. Seriously, greasy as hell, but super-duper tasty. No alcohol, but Mexi-Coke and Fanta in abundance.

Another excellent restaurant that speaks only Spanish. But it's simple enough -- flautas or tostadas. I highly recommend both (it's what I do when I can't decide)Don't forget to load up on cream and the hot sauce!!

Went to their new local at Shiloh and all you will find is an old lady yelling at her employees all of the time. The Food Is good, But I suggest getting it to go.. The place is awkward and the employees look uncorftotable, service is okay. They have a "Drive thru" which is why I gave it 2 stars.. Something new.

When we would visit my grandparents south-of-the-border, they would take us to the original location. Back then, it was safer to travel there. Now, this gem opened for business. It's not fancy, nor do they offer fountain drinks. But, the best places are these hole-in-the-wall joints are the best. The old place offered 6 flautas to an order. This place offers 4 to an order. But, the flavor is exactly the same. nothing has changed whatsoever. Just add a little salt to the tomato and guacamole toppings, and you have a real treat!

The "flautas" (taquitos) are super great! Love that flavor with avocado salsa and the beans. Also the corn tostadas with pulled meat and fresco cheese are an iconic combination. Service is amazing and ambience is family setting.
