La Terraza Mexican Grill

Situated in Victoria Mall, this restaurant was an easy walk from our hotel. It was busy, and so we sat at the bar. Service was prompt, and good throughout. However, we judged prices to be on the expensive side, and the quality of the food and drink subpar. $37.85 plus tip brought us each a Margarita, which both of us would describe as "weak." A plate of nachos yielded precisely twelve burned chips mired in cheese so heavily congealed that we had to request knives and forks to free it from the plate. Small dollops of guacamole and sour cream accompanied carnitas that was burnt to a crisp, and terribly, terribly dry. In sum, one can only hope that, given how busy the restaurant was catering to birthday parties, the kitchen and bar were simply having a bad night.

Food was delicious. Service was fast & courteous. Hot sauce was actually hot & flavorful instead of the watery crap the other restaurant serves. They gave my son a dessert for his birthday & sang a birthday song Would love to go back

We were in town on business and decided to check out the food. Love the location at the Victoria Mall and the inside was very spacious, enough room for large parties to eat, drink, and be merry. I had the Carne Asada topped with loads of nopales and tomato/onion, it was good. It came with beans, I opted for the charro and rice. In my younger days I did not grow up eating rice with peas and carrots so I am not accustomed to having rice made with the peas and carrots. So for that reason, I did not like the rice. My honey had the 3 enchilada plate with refried beans. It was just okay. Our waitperson never smiled, we tried, she was attentive. I also ordered the Mexican Martini with a Tajin rimmed glass, beautiful presentation, the taste was just okay. Next time I'll have the martini with top-shelf tequila instead of house tequila.

Had a really great experience. The food was great! They were really patient and accommodating we asked for a high chair and they were quick about it. The food was good and fresh. Everything was great! I left happy and full with leftovers.

Food and Margaritas were delicious and service was fantastic. Placed the order and everything arrived very quickly.

I hadn't been here before one of my co-workers suggested it and I am glad we went! It's at the mall so I was thinking it'd be casa ole then found out it was a totally different place it is next to chuck e cheese. Upon arriving our party of six was seated pretty close to the front. I noticed the menu had some awesome looking drinks but since we were on duty we had to skip. I ordered carne guisada as I was in mood for rice and beans and also chose corn tortillas. All was very tasty. I approved of the salsa it wasn't too spicy and it had cilantro. As I don't like to eat too much when its hot I ate all the rice and half of the carne guisada so took some home for another meal. My ticket was under $20 tip included. I highly suggest this place. Cute decor as well and the mirror in the restrooms were very clean!

Amazing Mexican food. Taste the authenticity of it! I ordered barbocoa and it was something off the menu! Would definitely come back again and get another portion of it!

Came in to watch the Astros game, and Jacob was on point at the bar as always! He knows us by name and order. Best bartender in town!!

We had a large party of 7. Seated right away and food came out fast after ordering. My meal was definitely one of the best Mexican dishes that I've had. Very tasty and perfectly cooked. Would go back.
