Art park! This artsy park is located right in the heart of downtown Corpus Christi. It has a few shady trees, and a couple of park benches by the bus stop, so it's a comfortable place to hang out. There's lots of art going on here, with cool murals that make it look like you're peeking in on a swimming pool, and an obelisk made from metal. On the first Friday of every month, they have an arts walk here, where starving artists show off their latest works and masterpieces. The coolest part about this park is that they offer bike repair stations! They have a bunch of tools tethered to a pole, and outlets to charge your phone or put out a jam box. There's plenty of parking along this park, all the streets are legal to park on, and since there's so many shuttered businesses around here, it makes it easy to park. Downtown Corpus has seen some better days- I counted 8 vacant buildings surrounding this park, but it still felt safe. The park has an interesting design. It's like the city planners said, "We've got this weird patch of dirt that we don't know what to do with. It's too skinny for a building. Let's put a park on it!" Unfortunately, there's no restrooms here.
