La Michoacana Meat Market

Don't get me wrong I love the food here , but just recently I went with my son to order carne para tacos there's a mexican man behind the counter in the meat market be careful he puts the wrong price on what you order he put carne de fajitas which isn't what I ordered at all and the heavy set cashier in front she needs to be fired!!!!! asap she was very rude and eyeballing me just staring at me I'm half hispanic and white and married to a Honduran man and I speak fluent spanish but the color of my skin bothered her , as she was staring at me I told her do you have a problem? and she didn't know what to say so I asked her in spanish tiene usted un problema? she couldn't believe I spoke spanish and was nice to me after , that's not right just because you're from Mexico doesn't give you the right to treat people like that I wonder if she has her papers to be here in the United States. I'm tired of going to this place I went with my husband a few days ago and same girl heavy set rude and disrespectful she kept staring at me with my husband there he told her are you going to check us out or keep staring at my wife? lol that made my day! but seriousy the owner needs to fire this girl she's slow at being a cashier and rude and one day she's going to make the wrong customer mad but it's true!

Was checking Yelp and saw such bad reviews about food and customer service so was a little hesitant walking in but was really craving some tacos. Ordering is a bit confusing if you do not know what you are doing. Start off at the grocery store check out counter, tell them what you want. Pay then proceed to the taco counter and give them your ticket. This is where the experience became delightful. The ladies behind the counter although have limited English were smiling and friendly. It took a bit of Spanglish and hand gestures to get the meanings across but they were in no way unpleasant. I got a torta sandwich and 4 tacos. The torta for protein option was chiccaron roja. Me being a self proclaimed chiccaron snob, this has one of the best ones I've ever had. Torta bread was toasted, had beans, lettuce, tomato, mayo, add your own salsa from the salsa bar! The four tacos were fantastic! Lengua, barbocoa, al pastor, and what tasted like cabeza but it was not on the menu. The 4th one was my point and pick mystery option but none the less it was good! The food experience is one of the best I've had and the full meal came out less than $10! Tip- after 3pm, their mini corn tortilla tacos are 99 cents! Real tacos should be corn anyways and look at the photos... if those are mini and we're super filling, what the heck does a regular size look like!

I love La Michoacana Meat Market! They have everything I need for my fajita night. If I'm not in the mood to create my own meat rub they have some of the best ready to cook fajita meat for purchase.

Maricruz is extremely rude. She does not follow covid protocols. She threw my groceries and food in the bag and then threw the bag at me. When I asked her for her name she ignored me. When I asked what her problem was she ignored me. Maricruz needs to be fired. This is not the first time she was rude towards me or a family member. I have neighbors who know her as the rude lady and we have no clue why she still works there. She obviously doesn't care about her job enough to be respectful towards the customers.

Come here every Sunday morning for great barbacoa and carnitas. Ingredients always fresh and tasty. The meat meat market has everything you need for a great BBQ.

I was watching The workers and seen how carelessly they were with money, the only one who was not carelessly is a worker there named leslie. she helped me with my groceries and asked me for all my needs.i had dropped my groceries out of my bag and she literally ran to help me pick up my things and put them back in the bags. Everytime i go she has a positive attitude! and is very friendly and nice! the other workers do not make me feel welcomed at all, especially the manager. this store overall is good but the people make it very hard to like. The meat department people are always on there phones and i get NO help.

Horrible customer service. Employees here are always in a bad mood ALL of them. You can't get friendly customer service even if you paid them, Is being in a bad mood all the time part of a requisite to work there?!? Also the food at the taqueria is disgusting. I bought some pupusas and chicken for my son and the pupusas had little to nothing inside and the chicken was stale. That food made us sick! I will attach a picture of the pupusa that literally had nothing inside!!

Was soooo excited to eat here because I love La Michoacanas and recently moved to town. Welp. I went in to purchase food. A Hispanic man DIRECTLY in front of me ordered a plate of food. I ordered a plate of food 30 seconds after him they told me the kitchen was closed and they could not serve me. I was confused because the man in front of me ordered food. She said she couldn't help me with that. I looked over at the food counter and they were serving other customers food. I said well what about them? She said "i cant help you i cant serve you" I am a black woman and everyone else in the store was not. I am literally heartbroken and crying in my car. I was extremely excited because I visited La Michoacana almost daily in my old city. Here i am not welcome. They wouldn't even let me purchase anything else and helped other customers besides me. Devastated.
