La Mesa

The food here is delicious! This is the only place in Poteet that I will buy breakfast tacos from. Don Juan is closer to me but their service is slow and rude and their tacos are bad. La Mesa prepares orders quickly. Their tacos have an even distribution of ingredients, unlike Don Juan. If you want yummy breakfast tacos, this is the place to go!!

Went this weekend and decided on the drive thru. I was honestly disappointed. Not only was the wait very long but the drive thru window allowed us to see that they were preparing food without gloves or hairnets. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and the meat wasn't flavored right. The meat was not asada meat but a substitute that was more like Philly cheesesteak meat with out the cheese, I also ordered a bean and cheese with bacon and the over use of cheese was too much. Needless to say I won't be coming back. I hope everyone has a better experience.$32 plus dollars for 4 tacos seems alittle overpriced??

This place was... AWESOME! I absolutely loved loved loved the chips and salsa - I wish I was still there shoveling them into my face. I had the house burrito off the menu and it was delicious. Smothered in enchilada sauce - which I often don't care for - but this was delightful! I can't wait to get back to Poteet to eat here again. Great, friendly service as well. Bring your friends and give it a try - you won't be disappointed.

Poor service, seems like they dont what to make money or work. Gotta be patient with them.

The food is excellent here!!! Carne guisada is the bomb!!! Carne guisada cheese fries for the win!!!The gift shop is so adorable too....it's a must!

Great Breakfast Tacos and amazing hole in the wall location in South Texas. Indoor dining options are beautiful and staff was exceptionally kind. The painted terracotta look from the outside and the amazing drive through were only two highlights of the amazing journey through a restaurant, no, dare I say an experience. Everyone should visit!

Before COVID, this place had the best Tex-Mex style food for miles but it has changed. The prices were up, the food was awful and the service was awkward.

What a great place to eat. The staff is super friendly and the food is very good. It has more the feel of eating at their home than just a business. This is a must eat in Poteet!!

Let's just say the food is substandard and over priced. I would go with friends and was never impressed, but when the waitstaff and owners basically ignored me while I was sitting at the table with friends (people they knew) I was done. They never acknowledged me or even thanked me for coming to their business, I never went back. That time we all ordered the same thing and the owner's daughter surveyed the plates and gave me the worst looking one. No more business from me. I won't support a small business such as this.If I could have given zero stars, I would have.
