Not sure where to go for our Eats, just driving and checking out places we see. I spotted a Mexican Restaurant called "La Isla Mexican Restaurant" that looks inviting and they are open. Walked in and the first thing that caught my eye was their Cool Bar - this is a nice Mom&Pop Place - the do it right. Located a table for us and Marie, our Server, came over, spoke to us what they are about, their Specials, etc.... Joe & I decided to have a Bloody Mary since it's not early-early morning and Bloody Mary's are essentially Veggies, and Veggies are good for you. Great way to start a day. Looking over the Menu trying to decide what to have is a tough choice because everything looks delicious - and they have pictures to help you decide. My Wife is having their "Cheese Omelet" with Skillet Potatoes & Refried Beans. Joe is going with the same, "Cheese Omelet" with Skillet Potatoes & Refried Beans but also ordered Sliced Avocados on the side. I am having their "Machacado & Eggs"; with Skillet Potatoes & Refried Beans. Those Bloody Mary's arrived and they are looking good. First sip told me that this is something special - it has that Peppery Bite Back that Bloody Mary's are known for. Soon our food arrived and it all ooks really good. My Wife and Joe really liked their Cheese Omelet. Those Skillet Potatoes are really good and the Refried Beans are the Best - period. My Machadaco & Eggs had lots of flavor throughout and was very tasty. All the food on the Menu looked Awesomelylicious and we really enjoyed what we just had, we were thinkng of coming back for Dinner. They have Specials for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner and Happy Hour Margaritas for only $2.25 - and All Day Mondays for the same price."--- AND AGAIN" -And we did just that. We returned for our Dinner and ordered the Happy Hour Frozen Margaritas to start. Dany is our Server and we looked over the Menu trying to decide what to get - besides those Frozen Margaritas. My Wife decided on the "Tampiuena"; T-Bone Steak & Cheese Enchilada with Refried Beans, Rice & Guacamole. Joe is having the "Beef Fajitas & Shrimp"; Seasoned Beef Fajitas with Onions, Bell Peppers, Refried Beans, Rice & Guacamole. I am having the "Parrilladas"; Beef & Chicken Fajitas, Smoked Sausage & Shrimp served wtih Charro Beans & Rice.Orders are in and our Margaritas have arrived. These are really a nice size for only $2.25ea - and are Very Limey-Flavorful. While we enjoyed these Margaritas we ate some of the Best Chips & Salsa Ever. These Chips have a Real Corn Crunch to them and are Absolutely the Tastiest Chips I have had. Soon our food arrived and Joes and Mine are served on a Hot Skillet, Nancy's is on a plate - there is a lot of food for everyone. Flour Tortillas are also provided, fresh and hot. My Wife really liked here T-Bone Steak and ate all of it (I normally get a bite, but not this time). Joe said his Beef Fajitas were really good as were the Shrimp. My Parrilladas looks like someones Smorgasboard - lots of Meats on this skillet and it's all steaming hot. The Beef Fajitas are seasoned Just-Right and mighty tasty. Love the Thin Cut of the Chicken and the Flavor is Chickenliciousness. The Smoked Sausage is Perfectly Flavorful and the Grilled Shrimp is Shrimplylicious. The Onions & Bell Peppers add flavoring to all the Meats making it one great combination. These are also some of the Best Charro Beans anywhere and the Rice is Soft & Flavorful with the Guac being Fresh & Tasty. We also ate all the Chips and Dany brought us out more. They also provide you with extra Sauces for you to enjoy, the Red is Flavorful, the Green is HOTTT and the Dark is Really HOTTT stuff - but all very flavorful - with a Little Burn - and sometimes a Lot Burn.Dany also earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award. La Isla Mexcian Restaurant is the Find of the Year. You MUST dine here when in North Padre Island. It's actually the Best Place we were at. Not only for the Delicious Food but their prices are Very Low considering the location. Check'em out on Facebook - La Isla Mexican Restaurant -
