Friday Night Bites: Taqueria La CurvaYou ever walk into a place and just know you're in for something good? That's Taqueria La Curva. Clean, stocked, and running like a well-oiled machine. The tacos? Piping hot, fresh off the grill. The salsas? Bold, fiery, not for the faint of heart. Whether you're bringing family or setting the stage for a date, this spot delivers. No frills, no gimmicks--just damn good food.Would I go back? In a heartbeat.

Been here a few times and never disappointed in the flavor of the tacos. Few places I enjoyed the fact they do fresh white corn tortillas. Something about them that makes every bite so enjoyable.

Delicious place to eat, the fajita has really good flavor, favorite tacos are the RB, and they have homemade corn tortillas! Super soft, and tacos are probably the best I've ever had! I've been to maybe about 20 taqueria locations in the valley ranging from Brownsville to weslaco all the way to la joya, and everything in between and I always come back to this one over them all! Best tacos hands down! You will not be disappointed eating here. Price is right as well, and did I mention homemade tortillas!?

The best charro beans ever (5 stars for the charro beans)! Very delicious. The menu is very simple...tacos and different types...no sides, just tacos, charro beans and home made tortilla chips and salsa. I ordered the Al Pastor and it was great. As soon as the plates were put together, they were served...nice and prompt. My fiancé ordered the fajitas with chile poblano and cebollas. I think the fajita meat was on the saltier side..... The service was top-notch and they were very attentive.Would recommend and I would come back.

This place apparently underwent a name change (possibly a change of owners?). It is now called La Taquiza Taqueria. It's in the same location, with the same colored walls (although the art pieces on the wall are different), and a very similar menu (based on old Yelp pictures). And it obviously kept all the clientele it has accumulated.I went in at 11:50am on a weekday and there were only a couple of tables left. By the time I left, around 12:40-45, there wasn't a table left, there was a swarm of people waiting, and a lot of cars were out in the full parking lot waiting for a parking spot. It's crazy popular.I wasn't sure about the procedure. I still don't. But I walked in, sat at a table, had a waiter come over to give me a menu and take my order, and then didn't see much of him after I got my food. Waiters walked around (bringing food out) and gave people refills when they were flagged down, but that was about it. And I watched other people get up and stand in line to pay once they were done, so I followed suit. I'm still not sure if you're supposed to order and pay at that same counter in the beginning, because I didn't. In the end, I paid with a card and, although I was asked if I wanted a receipt, I wasn't given the little paper you sign and add tip. So, I'd suggest bringing cash if you want to leave a tip. The items on the menu are pretty cheap, so they're regular taqueria prices. They're comparable to fast food prices, but the food is way better. My tacos were pretty tasty, despite having avocado and cheese (Matamoros style), which I'd had once before at a different restaurant and absolutely hated (I enjoy Reynosa style tacos instead). It was such a nice surprise! And their lemonade was freshly squeezed. All in all, it's a great value for your money. And for any of you non-Valley people visiting the area, this is as authentic as tacos get. But that can be said of most taquerias in the region.

This taqueria is actually under a new name now, but the location is still the same. Walk in, have a seat, and someone will come by your table right away. It was Cinco de Mayo so they were quite busy, but it was still super fast! The tortillas are homemade and absolutely delicious. My husband and I both ordered the corn tortillas. They bring you a cup of frijoles before your meal and thy was amazing; something I could eat every day. Don't pass up this place!

Worst service ever. The waiter took our order and only brought half of it. We had to wait over 30 minutes for the lonches then they never brought the potatoe that comes with the combo. We notified one of the guys as our waiter never returned. Food wasn't even warm for that much time. Never returning. We paid without receiving our full order. Very disappointed!
