La Casa Del Sol

Enjoyed a week at La Casa del Sol in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a small resort with a pool and fishing/boat dock but no beach access. They do have fishing poles you can borrow in the office but you still need a license. Closest beach access is about 1 mile away from the resort...very important to purchase a beach pass ($12) at the Stripes Convenience Store and it's good for a year. I enjoyed my stay here, room was clean, kitchen stocked with essentials, good water pressure in shower, comfortable bed, and quiet. My only issue was the Wi-Fi can be unstable requiring you to log in/out sometimes. The folks running the place were always helpful and take great care of the property.

I highly recommend La Casa Del Sol! It's a great value for the money. We love having family and friend gatherings by the pool and hot tub. Fishing on the doc is amazing and there is a place to clean your catch and doc for your boat. The beach is within walking distance and there are many wonderful restaurants nearby. golf cart rentals are close so you can and drive to the beach and all around the area. The staff is very attentive. The condos have been remodeled and new windows were just installed. We go every quarter and have always had a great time!

I do not recommend La Casa DelSol in Corpus Christi Texas to anyone. I checked their website and it claims they allow Service Dogs. A few days before I was scheduled to check in I emailed to let their staff know I have a Service Dog that I would be bringing with me. I received an email response from their reservations person requesting information that was in violation of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) I was able to discuss the situation with a board member. I believe he went way beyond extreme measures to find an obscure technicality that he believed would allow them to decline access for My Service Dog. He also stated that because they were a privately owned timeshare that ADA regulations did not apply to their facility. The evening before I was scheduled to arrive and check in at La Casa Del Sol I received a text message from this person notifying me that " If you attempt to check in at the resort with your alleged service animal, you will be denied access."

My wife and I stay at La Casa del Sol a few times annually.The rooms are always clean and over time we have seen thembeing updated. The place is well equipped with each room having ample towels, kitchen utensils, and washer/ dryers. The Resort has a pool, 3 gas grills beside it, hot tub, fishing doc with underwaterlighting for night fishing, and 3 boat slips. Must make a reservation for a slipwith room reservation. The beach is less than 3/8 of a mile, an easy walk and you can rent a golf cart a few blocks away. Also the price is exceptional for a full 7 nights. This is an awesome overall value and we would highly recommend it.

If your looking for a cozy and relaxing spot to take a vacation this is it. The staff (Mike and Phillip) were always very friendly and anxious to help in any way possible. The rooms are very well kept and nicely decorated. The pool is heated and clean, and the grills are close by and convenient as well as the great fishing spot on the back of the lot facing the channel.
