La Carreta

Sometimes the only place to get the real thing, is from the real place. This place is about as real as it gets. The cabeza taco is a fresh and crisp homemade tortilla filled with meat. Exceptionally seasoned and exactly as they are supposed to be. And while the meat is really good, I appreciated the tortilla just a little more, because they can be hard to find, not being in Texas much. Sprinkle chopped onion and cilantro to taste, top with hot sauce or salsa, eat and repeat! The service is is good, the building well worn from happy eating, is clean and perfectly ready for dinner. I'm assuming if you live here you know, but if you don't and you see this, go here. Try something new, because the food is fantastic. Thanks for the tea in an honest to god tea glass, it's good being home sometimes !!

Capital D elicious like always so far Third visit! I'll say this ; don't judge the book by the cover??? Be brave go n give them a shot too not only get hearty servings the true Mexican cuisine ! A+++

Had the #4 combo.Enchiladas, beans & rice . Ate it before I thought about reviewing it. Sorry for lack of details, but it was delicious.

Taco came out great. Habanero salsa is amazing. Not as good as El Guerrerense but they're open past 2:00.

Only been for breakfast, twice already, tacos are ginormous, ordered 3 because normally cheap tacos are tiny, way wrong. I ate 1 1/2 tacos and I was stuffed. Chips and salsa are pretty good too. If nearby check them out pretty good.

So fresh and flavorful. I order the taquitos at the recommendation of the waitress and they were delicious. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The meat was rich and perfectly caramelized. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

My coffee is always great. Big Daddy Taco taco was huge and delicious. My son couldn't finish it.

Holy cow. Stumbled across this on our way out of Victoria . I had a corn tortilla with egg and chorizo . Soooo good! And homemade

We just moved to Victoria. We wanted to try New places. Well NEVER again. Everything was TERRIBLE Especially the woman doing the cashier. Rude BAD Attitude matches her Appearance. Got over charged, service was the Worst. Didn't talk with them. Cause I was SO mad I knew where things would have went! So to keep them safe I walked away. And won't EVER RETURN!! This Place SUCKS!!!
