La Cantera Restaurant - Pleasanton

This is the 1st time I've been here. I'll tell you what, I'm a foodie and a picky person. Their food, service, and prices are great. Homemade fresh tortillas, the table salsa had good flavor, but not spicy. We ordered queso. It was a white queso (rare) and not spicy, but it was good. Next time we're on Pleasanton, we'll definitely go again

La Cantera is quickly becoming our favorite restaurant! My beautiful wife and I did the drive through again and they did not disappoint. I am getting hooked on the burritos deluxe. They are delicious and I highly recommend giving them a try. Today we were offered a variety of salsas and I swear one of them was Ghost Pepper! Magnificent! If you're into heat give this one a try. Ask for La salsa muy caliente, Por favor.

Great food. Generous drinks. Great service. The salsa is only slightly spicy, but well flavored, and they'll bring you a variety of hot sauces with your dinner if you want something different. We've had breakfast and lunch here now and have not been disappointed in a single thing. It's a sort of laid back diner dove Mexican style. So there could be country music playing or a live mariachi, it's south Texas, could go either way. We make the drive to Pleasanton just for this place.

posted hours state open until 3:00 pm. Stopped at 1:50 and was told they were closing.

Wonderful food! We had the mini tacos for $5.99 and it was a full size plate with all the veggies! Wonderful service! Have a Pina Colada, they were delicious!

Best beef fajitas around ! The staff is always very friendly and the order is always right. We eat here often and will continue to !

I love the food and margaritas at this resturant!! Delicious! Wait staff are super nice and attentive. Last night we ate dinner there and the power went out. Cards could not be used and I didn't have any cash with me. I asked the waitress if I could get my total and I would come right back with the cash. The owner happened to be standing right there and said we could bring it when it was convenient. I went to get the cash and came right back to pay. He thanked me for doing the right thing and I told him, "Thank you for trusting me to come back and settle my tab." They will have my repeat business and I will continue to tell others to go there for good Mexican food!

One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area plus they have cold beer. We enjoyed dinner there now and then.

This is one of our favorite places to eat when we come to visit. I usually order the seafood soup - I order it with extra avocado and a side of cheese, and I also enjoy the shrimp cocktail. My husband loves the breakfasts and the enchiladas. So good!

Great food, great service, fast service! Pleasant experience in Pleasanton. Will come back.
