Great tasting pollo, ribs and sausage. Take cash! Always very friendly and quick to serve you. Flavor has always been spot on. You drive up and they come to your car and take your order.

We arrived very hungry, the restaurant doesn't have a sign, but next to it, there is another cabana that does have a sign. Turns out that the sign is over the kitchen, and the kitchen is a separate building from the dining area that doesn't have any signs over it.We sat ourselves and ordered drinks.Without ordering our food, the waitress brought us each a bowl of beans, and a bowl of rice. In addition to cold chips, sliced limes, two salsa bottles, and a bowl of pico de gallo. Then we ordered a pound of beef fajitas, a whole chicken, a baked potato topped with beef fajita, and two grilled onions. The chicken was delicious and juicy, the beef fajitas were surprisingly very soft and melt in your mouth, the potato was good, the beans were not seasoned (could use some bacon), the rice was good, and the grilled onion was cooked tender. The bad, were all salt issues: -The chips were cold and salt less.-The pico de gallo had little or no lime, and definitely NO SALT.-The 2 grilled onions we ordered were served cut up in bite size pieces, topped with seasoning salt, (very salty seasoning salt). I prefer you serve the whole onion, (not cut up), for me to add whatever I want, possibly just lime and a light sprinkle of salt.

Do not let the outward appearance fool you!! Their food is great! Their parrilladas have a smattering of everything. They have chicken, ribs, steak and sausage. If you're a carnivore, then this place is for you. Check it out, you won't be sorry!

Huge portions, Gill house attached to establishment were great protein is prepared. Meat could use a little spice but it's very tender. Beans, chips w/ green salsa, fluffy rice. Place is BBQ place with a Mexican spin recognized by the flavors in the beans & rice. Service was great and fast. Glad I found it.

Pollos Asados is wonderful true Valley hole in the wall Valley-style BBQ joint. This not central Texas low and slow bbq. This not post oak smoke. This RGV mesquite wood grilling. This is bbqing at grandma's and your Tio is manning the pit, thinking he's the best pitmaster in the RGV lol. The pollo itself is great thanks to the their rub. The rub is a perfect valley blend of salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder and and some other good stuff. A similar blend is used on the beef ribs. Really tasty stuff. The ribs themselves were not as tender if they were done low and slow but that's ok. The sausage served is your classic kielbasa done perfectly on the grill. Another highlight is their amazing rice and beans. Some of the best charro beans in a restaurant in the valley. Really really good. Your family's might be the best but if you don't have time buy a gallon of these and no one will complain. The rice is interesting. It's not the typical grain of rice used for Mexican rice. I think it's basmanti rice. Big difference in texture. Excellently done. If you're craving old school Valley bbq, this your place. Definitely recommend. But the food is great and worthy of your attention.

Pass by the place a few times so decided today was the day. Ordered the mix plate and a Papa asada. The ribs look huge, but a closer look meat ratio was very little....and meat was pretty touch. The seasoning however was tasty, but with barely any meat wasn't enough to say wow. Chicken and sausage was good...moist and not dry. I would suggest bigger portion of sausage...1/4 cut seems skimpy. The papa was also good, asada wasn't overly dry.Overall not wow...not enough to get me coming back.
