absolutely disgusting do not recommend i did not like my food i got the enchiladas and they were cold and the waitress is very rude!

Marliza took care of me at La Bahia!! I felt welcomed when she greeted me by name. She went out of her busy schedule to come give me a hug and sit me down by the bar. I liked how she remembered my favorite cocktail, and kept doing temperature checks during my visit. Feeling welcomed is everything to me!! Thank you Marliza for your exemplary customer service

For me La Bahia restaurant is what I remember Mexican restaurants being when I was young. This was my third visit as I'm having an extended stay in Goliad. The food is very good and consistent. The staff is very friendly but occasionally gets overwhelmed. This is never an issue for me as I'm never in a hurry. Their ground beef is some of best I've ever had! It is so flavorful and spiced and cooked perfectly. All of the menu items I've tried are the beef enchiladas, Tex-Mex w/crispy beef taco, Panchos, Chili con Queso w/beef and sopapillas. There salsa is thin but very tasty and the chips are very good. Currently they are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday with limited hours and request you make a reservation.

We called prior to coming and they said we needed a reservation but since they weren't busy, we were able to go eat inside. Which was kinda weird that they asked us but it is what it... The spot seems nice from the outside and the staff did seem nice but they took long to bring my salsa. I asked for it once we got our order and the young lady didn't come with it, until way later and I had already finished my lunch. I had chicken mole enchiladas and they were aight. The chicken was nice and soft but the mole didn't seem authentic, at least to me. I also ordered a coffee and it was room temperature. If it was old, they could have told me if I wanted a fresh pot or something else but I just needed something warm. My husband ordered country fried chicken and said it was good. Which I think is weird since this is suppose to be a Mexican restaurant. I didn't like the fact that they did not enforce Covid precautions. Two customers came in with no masks at all and they didn't tell them anything. They also had a pretty large party there but they did sit us far away from them. Overall, there wasn't much choice so you take what you get

First time here. Came to the Goliad Christmas market days. The menu is limited. Order the Carne Gusida plate. Flour tortillas were under cooked. Guisada only had 9 small pieces of meat the size of a cherrio. The gravy was Not homemade. Tasted like it was Brown gravy out of a jar.Extremely disappointed in the food. My husband's food was served in 2 sessions.It was supposed to be all the same on the menu. Enchiladas came after his champagne. Like 12 minutes after the fact.Will NOT be returning.

I've eaten here a few times as it is mammas favorite Mexican restaurant.Bahia has been around for ever and their food is OK not great but certainly above average. Service is friendly and competent. We brought mamma for an early Mother's day lunch on Sat and we had a not so good experience. They claimed they were slammed but there were at least 3-4 tables open during our visit. We patiently waited for a table for about 15 minutes even though tables were open. When we asked to be seated they accommodated us. Mamma has a walker but the host, not using common sense, tried to direct us to a back table instead on one of the closer tables. I politely asked to be seated at a closer table to avoid having mamma navigate through a cramped dining room. Once seated our server told us they were slammed today and to please be patient. We were patient but it took over an hour to get our meals. During this time our, very nice, server apologized multiple times, and refilled our drinks and chips. If it was just us I would have bailed at the 30 minute mark. Once our food arrived it was OK. Mamma loved her entrée so it's all good. Yea, we will be back and hopefully with a better experience. Oh yea, for you newbies it's a BYOB joint so plan ahead.

Needed a reservation on a Sunday when the restaurant was empty. Only saw 2 people working. Went into Goliad for lunch instead of dealing with this place

Haven't eaten at LaBahia in years so while we were junking in Goliad we thought we needed to stop in. I ordered enchiladas Verde Ala carte and boy, they did not disappoint! Hot! Fresh! Tart tomatillo sauce all over! Absolutely delicious ! The restaurant had only two customers when we arrived at 2:15 p.m. Strangely, we were asked if we had reservations. Uh, no. Just lunch for two.Sissy ordered the Tex-Mex plate with cheese enchiladas covered in chopped, fresh onions, rice and beans, and Carne guisada. Everything was hot and fresh! We enjoyed our food; the waitress was attentive and checked back with at just the correct intervals. LA Bahia made our trip a pleasure.

We came to eat here the day before Christmas Eve. The food was very good and made exactly to order. They are very short-staffed it seems, but the server did the best she could. The ambiance was warm and inviting on a cold night. Overall, I would definitely go back again.

This is our go to every Saturday. Husband always get the spicy enchiladas. Chili con queso is good too.
