Kim Son

For being the only Chinese Restaurant in this town, I would say they did a great job with menu selections, service, and price. Counter person was very accommodating and provided tips for menu options. I chose the jalapeño chicken, hubby had garlic beef special dinners. The food was fresh, tasty and hot. We also ordered soup. The bonus of crispy wonton strips was a nice surprise. As mentioned by other reviewers- the food is served in take out containers even though we chose to dine in. The portions were generous. Overall a good place to dine!

Pretty standard Chinese food. Always consistent. Nice people working there. Standard Chinese joint, clean.

For being in a small town, this cannot be beat. Very clean. Basic Chinese food, but it is all very good. Food is generally served in a takeout container even when dining in unless you request otherwise. I know that personally I avoid Chinese restaurants in small towns; but if you are craving Chinese, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Use to love this place and ate there on a weekly basis. But i placed an order to go for sweet and sour chicken went home and some of my chicken was undercooked when i called to let them know she said she would write it down so i could get a meal another day. So when i finally went into town to get the meal they wanted the old food back(which a week had gone by). Today i ordered again and asked for beef and broccoli and they gave me shrimp, my husband thought i ordered him the wrong thing..i call to let them know and they just say bring the food back ..again my husband was working 30 minutes away! And their tea had an awful taste! I'll be eating at another place from now on!!

Yes this place wins by default because there are no other Chinese places but the food is good. I usually order the hunan shrimp . I can never finish it because the portion is so big. The staff is polite and the place is clean. Not many places can say that.

Was very good for being a small town. Excellent communication and order was taken without any mistakes. Reasonable prices for the area it is in.

For Asian food in a small town--it was ok. Not great, not terrible...we moved to Sinton a few months ago and have been trying to find local places to frequent. This one is mediocre but we will probably return.

Passed by several times traveling through Sinton and was always curious. I went in about 7pm and sat down, the cashier looked at me in astonishment and asked "are you waiting for someone ?" I replied, "no I would like to see a menu, order, and eat dinner please". I must say she was extremely friendly, smart, and a very new employee obviously without any experience being a waitress who obviously had never encountered an order other than take-out on the phone. I must say the menu is the cookie cutter "Chinese" run of the mill items, with the food being the same; really no attempt to make Kim Son a creative restaurant. I suppose it's mainly to do with the fact if you are in Sinton and want some oriental food, you got no choice and they got no competition. Too bad the owners don't take a little initiative other than being satisfied with the take out business they run.

Delicious food, a tad bit pricey but you get a lot for your buck. The young Hispanic girl up front is super friendly and second best egg drop soup I've ever had.

The worst!!! The egg drop soup was very thick, the food was served in plastic containers and it was self service with an expensive price! Even the tea had a bad taste...Never will return!
