This pier is a fun pier for fishing & views. However, what is really cool about this pier is it's the best place to surf in Port Aransas, right beside it. The best place to catch some waves, the best place for surfing, is right beside the pier. Recommend.

Longest wooden pier in the area however $3 per person plus more if you intend to fish. Not worth it if you're just going to be there to take a few photos and do a quick walk. Save yourself the money and drive 2 minutes away to the water break, super fun and 3 times as long!

Great fishing spot. They charge per person and per rod but nothing too outrageous. I believe it was $3 per person and $3 per rod. Bring some folding chairs, bait, drinks, and get your fishing on.

This is a fun place to stop if you want to go out on the pier and feel closer to the big water. Lots of people fishing and you can see surfers near the pier. Plenty of birds interested in finding scraps.

We had a blast! Yes a touch pricey but whatever, we're on vacation! The fishing was terrific! Each kid caught about a dozen fish, catch n release. Even dad caught a few. Jeff, who works the place, was a very nice guy and gave the kids a quick lesson on how to work the poles and where the best place to fish was. He also gave some good recommendations on where to eat. A far better experience than in Gulf Shores, Alabama last year.

Really overpriced. $20 to rent a cheap fishing pole that probably cost $5 at Walmart. They could rent so much more stuff and make it a really great place. The chairs for rent ($10) were cheap filthy plastic chairs. They didn't rent umbrellas so I bought their only one for $25 and it quickly fell apart. Thankfully there were some very nice fishermen who helped us out. They fixed our poles and told us the best way to fish off the pier. There's port a potties but no place to wash your hands. The young guy working there was nice but basically just a body to take money.

Keepers, on the pier jutting out into the Gulf, offers a bait and tackle shop along with a concession stand. If you can score one of the small tables by the window, with the Gulf breeze flowing through and a $3 can of beer on your hand, you can enjoy one of the most economical waterside tables in Port Aransas. The menu is fairly limited, mostly hot dogs and fried snacks, but the views can't be beat. Fishing poles are available for sale if you want to try your luck.

Over all I feel that this is just a scam. Never have I ever been to a pier that costs just to walk it. Not only that the prices to do anything else are not worth it. Save your money, have way better experiences in town and else where on the beach. You will not be disappointed in missing this pier, if you are visiting.

Went on vacation to fish and was very impressed. Loved that they had an enclosed fishing cleaning station so I wasn't fighting the briefs the entire time. Will be returning.

This was a very disappointing experience. Not only was it extremely overcrowded ( we should have known better) but the bait was the crappiest of all. A frozen block of ice that you have to defrost on your own. So after defrosting it, it was complete mush and flung off the hook after every cast. So we tied string to the shrimp and hook to keep it on and because it was mush the little fish picked it clean in seconds. No one was catching anything and it was obvious why.
