Joe's Crab Shack

We had the opportunity to try Joe'sWhile visiting Corpus Christi this past weekend. We stopped in on Saturday evening at around 5pm and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. Located on a pier, it's a great location and really embodies the beach feeling! Once inside we noticed the traditional crab shack decor and our kids loved the giant shark hanging from the ceiling.We ordered a whole host of food, from a few kids meals including the pizza with a side of fries and fruit, fish tacos, the steak, and of course, crabs. Overall we thought both the food and the service was good. Our only caveat was the pizza had a weird coors lite flavor to it so if we went back we would probably order the kids the chicken tenders. Great family friendly spot!

Even for a chain restaurant this place was only ok. The server forgot about us multiple times during our time there, forgetting cutlery, napkins, and straws on different occasions. The atmosphere was slightly louder than what would be considered comfortable because their music was so loud (the restaurant was pretty dead so the noise wasn't caused by patrons). The food was pretty decent though from my perspective, I just split an appetizer platter with a friend but some of the others had crab/lobster and they said it was ok but not stellar. The view from this place is very nice though since it's right on the water, it was dark while we were there so I didn't snap any photos but a waterfront view is always a bonus!

I was nervous coming in here as a gluten free vegetarian. I ordered a salad without bacon and croutons. It may have been self error when ordering, but it came with bacon. They do kindly took it back and remade it within minutes. Great atmosphere here with a view of the ocean that boats frequent. Wonderful experience!

I love this JCS! I believe it's the best in the state! I had the Atlantic boil and was highly satisfied with it. The ambience was superb with decor and you can look outside and see the bay. It's a multi story building with options of sitting outside or inside. The service was fantastic with friendly waitresses and waiters.

Cool location right on the bay. Mom and I were visiting Texas and wanted to eat somewhere on the water. The food was ok. I ordered Joe's Classic Sampler and my mom got the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. In the sampler, the crab and shrimp dip didn't have too much meat in it... but maybe it was intended that way. The flavor was good though. The crispy calamari was overly fried. There was no tender meat, just breading and dried out jerky texture. The crab stuffed mushrooms were a hit though! A good amount of crab, well seasoned, and tasty. The service was slow. We came in around 12:30 pm and not too many people in the restaurant, and we waited about 30 mins. for our food once we placed the order. Unfortunately no refills either. Kind of a bummer.

The family and I stopped by one day. The place was decorated nice and the restaurant itself was clean. The views of the waterfront make this place a good spot to chill. The service staff were friendly. Our waitress was friendly,however disappeared for long periods of time. I'm a pretty patient person and it was a long time even for me. The food was middle of the road. I would probably go back for appetizers and drinks if in the area.

Great view of the water. I would go back just for that. We got the fried shrimp (7/10) and coconut shrimp (10/10). We went at lunch time and there was no wait. Service was great!

Enjoyed our lunch over looking the bay. Concerned about eating on the deck as the seagulls appeared active today! We elected to eat inside. I had the shrimp skewers with rice and broccoli. Tasty. Server was very helpful and attentive. There is also a gift shop with some t-shirts and trinkets.

Kaitlyn, server, is the best professional we ecperienced. Continuosly checked on our table with a great smile wanting to know if we needed anything else to eat or drink. The General Manager Coltan was the leader of his fine team. This Joe's Crab Shack located at 444 N. Shoreline, Corpus Christi, TX, 78401, phone 361-904-0227, is the very best. This is the best Joe's Crab Shack we have been to. It is definitely one of the best places to go to in Corpus Christi. The views of the ocean are absolutely amazing from every part of the restaurant. We had drinks and appetizers on the patio the first night and enjoyed all of it so much. It was so nice, we went back the next afternoon to have dinner. Food was excellent, views were amazing, and Joseph, our waiter, made both evenings awesome. The fish and chips were some of the best I have had. The guys got the seafood boils in old bay spice and they were awesome. My sister got the salmon and loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant over any of the others we ate at in Corpus Christi.
