I don't know why I took so many pictures of this boat. The tour-guide must have explained some greater significance otherwise it's a mystery
Someone said this is a docking station where they overhaul and repair drilling towers from oil platforms in the gulf.

What a nice your! The Japonica Bay tour was nice and safe. You get on the boat at Harrison's Landing (a restaurant). Before takeoff, use of the life vest was explained. The captain was hilarious and the crew was nice. I always have to take dramine for sea sickness which helps my stomach & the quizziness. The boat rocked a little, but nothing drastic. The sight of the USS Lexington up close was neat and we were also a few feet away from a large barge. Overall the bay tour was nice. RECOMMENDATION: I recommend this bay tour when visiting Corpus Christi, TX.

The Japonica took us from the serenity of the Bay out to greater waves where the dolphins played. It was a fantastic excursion. I got lots of film clips of dolphins synced doing their Marineland show without handlers. It helped that we and they were near a shrimp boat!!My husband and i loved it and so did all the kids on board!!

We took the sunset tour and enjoyed a relaxing time on the water. We booked on the same day and had no issue. The staff was welcoming and made the trip enjoyable. They shared great facts about the sights.

I was very excited to go on this boat ride which says its an hour ride for 19 person. The problem is after the boat has loaded the captain will ask where everyone is from and tell stories and jokes for about 30 mins then we finally take off and see nothing really interesting but the big ship that they mention nothing about then make a big u-turn so basically you get a 30 min ride and you do have to stand because if your seated you cant see anything. Its ok but feel cheated and wont go back.

So they take you out for an hour. He wasted a lot of the time by everyone saying where they were from and than he has a conversation with each group when they reveal where they are from. The seating were squished with a stranger. When he did give tourist information about corpus you were unable to hear it through out the boat. So it was pretty much a boat ride. It was nice because I did it with my husband and we seen pelican and people waving at the boat. it was not that exciting like the video I saw about touring corpus from a different view on the internet I was expecting that . Than cut the end of the tour early was back before we were suppose to be .They charged us 2.50 each for a bottle of water we bought 2 bottles and another customer paid 2.00 for his bottle of water which is bs i don't think I would recommend this one unless you want a boat ride The captain was friendly and so was the worker just the tour was not like I was expecting Than a lady got sea sick so she was hacking very loud which wasn't her fault it happens wasn't relaxing trip

Deck hand Dave's commentary was the best. Excellent knowledge and funny jokes. Always a great ride but this Dave made it the best.

Great captain and crew! We saw many dolphins, learned a bit of history and saw the sights around the bay. All the kids on the boat got a chance to steer the boat and when I lost my hat they turned around to get it! It was a fun, quick adventure for everyone!

Unless you want to stand the entire time, you're not going to see a thing. When you're seated, only about 4 inches of your head sticks up over the side. The seats are far too low. Put your windows down, find some Jimmy Buffet on your radio and cross any of the bridges near downtown and you'll see everything this tour drives past on the water. The only thing they make an effort to point out is the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium and even then, there's misinformation about the Lexington. If this is what you do for a job, it would seem you'd educate yourself as much as possible if you're planning to make it speaking point. Otherwise, this is just a "look at it" tour. There's zero information given. You can ask questions, but as I stated before, you may get wrong answers. I just wasn't impressed, learned nothing and feel I've wasted an hour of my day. Save your money.
