Japalenos Cafe

Holy cow. This place caught us off guard. And so glad it did. My mother, brother and I were heading to Beeville for a funeral. We were passing through Victoria and wanted breakfast. The first place we picked from Yelp, we couldn't get to as there was a walk-a-thon or marathon or something it access to the place were we heading was blocked. So we headed out of town and saw Jalapeño's. Pulled in. And got a table. Service was great. I got two small bean bacon and cheese breakfast tacos. They were probably the best I've ever had - at least as far back as I can remember. My mom had pancakes and my brother had the omelette. We all sampled each other's and everything tasted so good. The corn and flour tortillas are made fresh there. Salsas too are made there from scratch. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy.

It was very good very tiny place but food was good. Breakfast all day which is a bonus in my family. One had French toast said it was great, one had an enchilada plate said it was great we shared a Mexican plate tons of food

Their carne guisada is truly delicious!! Every time we go the ladies are super nice!

Breakfast was hearty and really good. Our waitress was nice and helpful. Another place I recommend you try in Victoria Texas.

This place is fantastic. It is on the outskirts of town, so I am not sure how much business they get, but I hope this helps them out because I want to make sure they are there next time I come to Victoria. The service was fantastic. Very friendly. The lady recommended something from there specials menu. Had no idea what it was but took a chance. It was something and pork (see picture). Mostly vegetables. Now, normally I would not do vegi, it would need to be meat; but this was awesome. Secondly, they make their own tortillas, flour and CORN. Worth the trip just to sit and eat the corn tortillas.The place open early for breakfast and they do a great lunch. Please...please keep them open.

Good food at decent prices. Just get there early for lunch because it gets crowded fast. I really liked the enchiladas. Prices are reasonable.

This little random place is delicious. Chips n salsa, enchiladas, everything I tried I liked. Very close to the Mexican food my family made growing up :)

It is a very tiny resteraunt on the outskirts if town. They serve amazing food at a medium speed. The employees are pleasant, and they will gladly desperate any dishes and make substitutes. I also would like to point out how clean their resteraunt is.

This was my first time to eat @ Japaleno's on Moody. Now that I live in the area, I was hoping to find a great place to get authentic Mexican food. The guacamole had such a strong lime flavor, which means it was days old or meant to be kept for days. The beef tacos were very bland & had no flavor at all. The chicken enchiladas had dry meat that had to be days old. Maybe It was because my order was to go, maybe it was because it was after 1pm, or maybe it was an "off" day, but it was barely edible. I will however give it another try sometime, as I believe in 2nd & 3rd chances.

My family and I LOVE this place. We come here several times a week, basically whenever we can find an excuse to. The place is always very clean, tables, floors, corners. The food is consistently on point. Tortillas are to kill for. The service is impeccable. Young and kind staff who all speak very good English. This will forever be a staple of ours.
