Do not use J&G! We first started using them early in 2006. At first we thought we were getting great service, but in 2008 the IRS audits started coming in. EVERY YEAR that we used her we were audited. Normally I wouldn't hold this against Jeanette or the company, but they said they offer "audit protection". We found out that their idea of audit protection meant asking for paperwork from us that she told us from the beginning the irs would not need. Because of them we wound up being told by the irs that since 08 all of our tax returns were filed incorrectly and that we owe them thousands. No response from Jeanette or anyone at J&G. They don't even answer their phones anymore. My suggestion, just use turbo tax. Every major company uses a similar system to turbo tax anyway.

We've been with J & G Armadillo since 2007, the service has always been great. We were audited for the 2014 tax year and had to pay the IRS back about $2400. , but before we did, I went back to inquire as to wh, and J & G assisted me through the process, content with the outcome, I wouldn't hesitate to continue my loyalty to J & G Armadillo Tax Service. I've been driving from Austin to this company for years because Jeanette is the best, and I've always been grateful to her. However, after today's experience I'm sad to say I will not be returning. My husband and I made this appointment a couple of months ago for a Saturday. About a week ago I received a call that they needed to reschedule as Jeanette had just decided she no longer wished to work weekends. So they changed it to Friday and both he and I had to take the day off from work. We arrived expecting a wait, as usual, however they were not accepting walk-ins today, which should have lessened the wait time. Our appointment was for 10:30. They open at 9, but Jeanette didn't arrive until 10:30. We waited two more hours to see specifically her out of trust and loyalty, but she refused to see us and had an associate help her with her files instead. We politely declined Carlos' assistance, explaining what we had already gone through to get to this point. He didn't want to take no for an answer, and ensured that she could review it before we left. We finally agreed only to be sorely let down by his estimate. We asked her to check, but instead of taking us to her to at least hear her opinion, he just took the file returning a couple minutes later to say that everything was plugged in correctly. I felt that he wasn't telling us something. After probing he made it clear that only people who make more or have businesses are the ones she had deemed to see, no matter when we arrived, ignoring that we had an appointment set for months, only to be changed and affect our paychecks last minute, wasting our seven hour round trip drive, and not even bothering to review our refund before being processed. It is apparent that loyalty doesn't matter to this company, and while we don't make them as much as other clients, we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Did my taxes they let me know how much I was getting back told me how much it'll cost for them doing my taxes, I've yet to receive anything I contacted IRS and my refund was a lot smaller then what I was told and on top of that the little bit of money I was to receive was sent to the their account. ALL OF IT. And they refuse to answer and numbers have been disconnected and the building they were in they closed it cause if " covid" when they never even let anyone in. They are scammers no one should go through what I did. If I could give zero stars I would.

I wish that there was a way to give this "business " a negative rating. We were new to the CC area. This place was recommended to us by person that my wife worked with. We scheduled an appointment and my wife took all of our tax information on to the office. Our information was reviewed and she was told that the office would call when our taxes were done. Needless to say we didn't hear back from them for a couple of weeks. We tried calling them several times . April 15 was just a few days away so my wife dropped by their office. She was told that our preparer had fallen ill and that our information was given to another person in their office. Our taxes were supposed to be complete. They did a quick rundown of their work and the taxes got filed electronically.Now a year later we get a letter from the IRS about unrecorded income and that we owed back taxes and penalties. The amount not recorded was over $30,000. I made an appointment with them in March of this year. We still had all of our time information in a file that I brought from home. I asked them for help and they accused me of not providing all of our information to them. They took my number and promised that I'd here from the owners. They never called and ignored my requests for assistance.I wrote a letter of appeal to the IRS in early April. I called this morning to check on the appeal progress. I was told that my appeal was in the system and that I'd be receiving a letter from them in the near future. And by the way, I learned during this phone conversation that J&G Armadillo Tax Service didn't file our taxes until April 30th. Now I'm being fined for filling late.My recommendation, NEVER, I say NEVER use this place for anything. The only guarantee that they have is that you'll get audited!!!

Do not use this company. They are frauds. You believe that you are getting professional tax help and you are not. The IRS audits will start coming in. They are under investigation for tax fraud and you will go down with them - there is nothing correct about the tax returns they prepare. They don't even use the information you provide correctly. And don't believe it if you are told that Jeanette is a former IRS agent....not true.

We went in 2015 to have our taxes done but they weren't accepting walk ins. When w explained we were coming from San Antonio they said they would squeeze us in. After an hour of waiting we finally opted to leave. The following year we tried again avid made an appointment. Thankfully we were. Assigned to Ben Flores. He didn't work for them but was renting space there. We filed and planned to return to Ben again this year (which we did) we recently saw on the news that in 2016 the IRS and federal agents raided this office and that audits would be forth coming for Armadillo clients. Lesson learned, research your tax preparer!
