Island Surf Rentals

You can't fully enjoy Port A unless you're on a buggy, and Island Surf Rentals is a great place to rent one. They accommodated us late on a Saturday afternoon. Prices are slightly better than others. We rented for 24 hours because it was a short trip. Wish we didn't have to return it at 4pm because we were still at the beach but we made it work. Friendly staff and quick and easy rental.

Rented a cart overnight and got a very good rate. I think the location was one of the best and the carts were all in fantastic shape. I think this little location was well supplied with most things you might want to pick up and the person helping us was very nice, professional and thorough.The only problem is the carts are either VERY anemic or (what I really believe) are governed to incredibly slow speeds. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to go "ridiculous speed" (SpaceBall reference), but it couldn't even go the speeds through the neighborhoods. Using Waze, the best we ever got was 17 mph down a hill. After seeing a cart take a corner going too fast, I understand their caution. But I think it's just as risky to always slow down a cars.It did well on the beach roads and didn't have any strength issues, so it should do what you want. There were only two of us, so I don't know how the thing would do with a full load.

Friendly staff, communicative by phone and email. Good price for a six hour rental. My total was $119 for a six seat cart. The golf cart was nice, roomy, and lifted which was nice on the beach. We have rented from other places but I like that Island Surf Rentals offers smaller time increments to rent rather having to commit to 24 hours. I would recommend them and will use again.

Very friendly and helpful. Check in was fairly smooth. The carts brakes were a little soft. Fun to drive on the beach road.

This is a small town but there are a lot of golf cart rental places. Things are slow for winter and some are closed but Island Surf was convenient, reasonable and the clerk was very efficient getting me in a cart in 10 minutes. Its the only way to see the island!
