​Island Joes Coffee and Gallery

We have eaten here several times for breakfast. It is fast and efficient and inexpensive. The staff are pleasant. The cinnamon roll is excellent. The biscuit with egg is also a good go. The veggie frittata is very good. The coffee is pretty good as well my wife says. The ambience is typical coffee shop and laid back with quiet music playing.

We drove down to Padre for a few beach days at the beginning of summer, and Island Joe's was a staple for us. I love the use of recycled shipping containers, and we have a shopping center made of the back home in Vegas. They also have a cute patio with umbrellas. We did not go upstairs or check out the gallery while here, but we went in once and used the drive thru for another visit.Service was friendly both visits. We tried the Island Girl, Sea Turtle, Trembleque and a chai. All drinks were on the sweeter side, ask for less sweet if that's not your thing. I didn't realize they had kolaches or probably would have tried them. We went by later in the morning though and they may have been out by then.

Decided to try what the Foodies suggested - "Island Joes Coffee & Gallery". Almost passed it up due to not being able to read their sign. Once you find it you cannot miss it because it's made from 'Shipping Containers' and is really Awesome. When you walk in you don't know you're inside Shipping Containers and it's done up very cute - like a Coffee Shop should be. Lots of people here and it's not early-early in the morning, close to 9:30am. We both looked over the menu on the board and decided on our Coffees, but wanting something to eat. A lady in line suggested their Egg & Pimento Cheese Biscuit - and that's what my Wife is having. Our Coffees are Caramel Mocha Latte for my Wife and I'm having a White Chocolate Latte. She is going with the "BACON, Egg & Pimento Cheese Biscuit". Kalie took our order and informed us that they are out of BACON. (tears came to my eyes). My Wife ordered it anyway, without BACON. I am going with their "Avocado Toast". We cjhose to sit in a couple of chairs with a small table while waiting for our Coffee and Bites. Lots of people are coming in and this place filled up, and there is an Outdoor Patio area that also has several people enjoying their Morning Coffee & Bites. The Decor around is what you would expect in a Local Coffee place - Cutely done. Soon our Bites and Coffee arrived and the Coffee is very tasty with just the right amount of flavoring in both of them. My Wife's (minus BACON) Egg & Pimento Cheese Biscuit is Delicious, even without the BACON. The Biscuit itself is Very Flavorfully Seasoned. My Avocado Toast is not sliced Avocado atop Toast, it's an Avocado Spread with added seasoning - making it Very Different from a normal Avocado Toast. All the Staff here are Very Friendly as are the Customers. Kalie earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for explaining to us just about everything they have. While visiting Corpus, my partner grabbed us some coffee to help us get our day started. I cannot speak to anything other than the coffee. The first thing I noticed was how light the cup was, so I opened it, and it was only 3/4th full. To some, this may not be an issue, but it is one that irks me because when you pay $7 for a cup of coffee without refills, you should receive the full amount you paid for. Now, onto the positives. I ordered the Tidal Wave extra hot. This is a caramel and Mexican vanilla latte. The temp was perfect, and the flavor was well-balanced. The mix nicely compliments each other to make a solid latte. My partner ordered the Mexican Vanilla, which she really enjoyed. I was not a fan, though. Finally, she made it a point to say how very nice the staff was.

Soooo cute!!! I love the bright colorful containers. Makes me wish I was a coffee drinker. My husband got the Mexican vanilla. I tasted it and it was pretty yummy. I tried the power balls. They were so good. I could have eaten about 10 of the chocolate chip one! Nice texture, good flavor, all the things. They have a nice patio area and some little rooms upstairs for meetings and such. Such an adorable place! When we went, there was a vendor selling local jewelry. We love eating and shopping local! When in corpus area this place is a must!

Cucumber Toast is chefs kiss! We waited in line for almost an hour, but it was worth it. Enjoyed an iced Mexican Vanilla Latte as well. Not too sweet, just how I like it. They have a ton of seating space and I love that it's dog friendly.

They open at 6:30am. I walked in at 6:35am on a Sunday morning. No hello. - Drive through is busy- it's okay I get it. I sit at the bar. Happy. Patiently waiting to be attended. One person walks up and orders at the counter beside the bar - waits. Gets coffee. Leaves. Second person does the same. I'm still sitting at the bar. Finally I ask- "can I order here?" Oh no, at the counter....That would have been great to know before sitting there for 5-10 minutes. Order coffee. Ask for it NOT in a to-go cup, and kids temp so it's not scalding hot. Receive coffee in a to-go cup and undrinkably hot. Yay. I was so excited when I pulled up and saw how cool the building was. Womp womp.

Love this place! From the services to the drinks to the food it's a win all around. The outside is comprised of a bunch of shipping containers giving it a rustic look. Plenty of seating and wifi. Lots of choices and accommodations for all foods and drink.

Very hit and miss. The latte should not be that color. As soon as I saw the color, I knew it was gonna taste like crap- and it did. It's always different every time you come.They sell out a lot of the food items early -

Got a smoothie, it was okay. Convenient spot and it was busy, so it must be popular. Would maybe stop again if I was in the area.
