Perfect location for a quick bite. No frills but provides a nice meal before heading to or returning from the beach. Bring cash and tip your servers well!

What made this breakfast fabulous was our waitress Casandra she was, what I wish every waitress can be like! She greeted us with her bumblebee, joy, kindness attitude. I definitely will return again. Food was decent and the oldies music was awesome!

We went there and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was so nice and everybody there which is acting like they were all family all nice and everyone was chill. I got the bacon omelette with eggs, toast, and hashbrowns with orange juice orange juice tasted like orange juice. The only was super good with the cheese. The hashbrowns were amazing, but the toast was not even toasted. Only a little piece of the bread was toasted, and the rest of it was just pure bread. The ambience was a very cozy home like at the beach. It was so nice.

Food is not worth the wait! Service slow. Flies galore in restaurant. Tables dirty. Bad attitude about splitting check. Turn around or keep going and find another place to eat.

Island Cafe is a two rooms with booths and tables and a kitchen. There's no gulf view. But if you're looking for the best food at affordable prices, here's your place. It constantly serves the best breaded fish and fries for 14.95. (Very shareable with 6 pieces)Todays special was a good size Chicken Fried Steak with 2 sides for 12.95.

I am going to preface this by stating that Island Cafe is not gourmet eating. This is not the breakfast place for high end edibles and seafood meals. It is, however, perfect for an affordable basic and tasty breakfast. It is a tradition for us to visit this place, at least once, when at Port A. It seems we may not be the only ones. This little restaurant gets very crowded and wait times can be up to over an hour. Yet, as mentioned, food is good and prices excellent.I ordered the eggs with a choice of hash browns, bacon and biscuits. Eggs were well done, as were the bacon and hash browns. I love their biscuits, which are always served in pairs. It is a plentiful meal for the great price of $8.95. I can tell you there is almost no other place in the island that makes food that affordable. Unquestionably, this place is worth a visit.

Great as usual, this is a casual place to come eat, whenever we're on the island we have got to come In for the all yu can eat fish....wouldn't be a vacation without it! Great service and great food...can't go wrong!!!Pay attention to the hours, sometimes helps to call ahead to be sure they open

Please don't let other reviews fool you! There isn't many places to eat breakfast in Port A and especially during Sand Fest! For being short staff, they are all working EXTREMELY HARD! Our waiter Melissa was super sweet and our coffee was always filled and hot! Everything was super fresh and loved how tasty the pancakes were. They are HUGE! Getting two will be enough. My bacon omelette is tasty and loved how flaky they were. They were perfect for a biscuits and gravy! Excellent Service! Excellent Food! One happy family! Thank you for a great time. I highly recommend coming before 9am because this place gets busy!

I'm surprised to see all the bad reviews cause this place was all we wanted and expected it to be for a traditional diner type breakfast. We came on a Monday morning and it wasn't as packed as a weekend; we only waited a few minutes to be seated. We ordered our food and drinks (coffee/OJ) and got our food quickly. Portions were a good size for the price! Plain waffle was just a plain waffle - nothing fancy! Steak and eggs were actually seasoned well and pretty tender for what it was. I enjoyed it, everyone else seemed to enjoy their breakfast plates and it was all we expected it to be. Super breakfast taco was huge! The only thing that was a bit bland was the gravy that came with the biscuit n gravy. Quick, friendly service. Kid friendly! And pretty clean and bright interior!
