The place was packed when we arrived, but they were still able to seat us immediately. The food was pretty standard for your typical breakfast joint. The servings are large so my friend and I ended up splitting the plate. We also ordered a pancake which was amazing. One of the best pancakes I have ever had. Super cute restaurant.

I remember eating here years ago and wanted to check out the latest. They seem to have updated the interior and it looks super cute. The service was good, our server was very sweet. Our food was just okay. The biscuits were noticeably dry even smothered with gravy and did not taste fresh at all. We were not thrilled with our meal. The exterior of the building is pretty trashed out. There was a literal pile of trash right on the steps leading up to the front door. Once we got inside, there were a ton of flies buzzing around the entire time which I know can't always be helped but it just didn't add to the experience for us. I was a bit disappointed after this but for the price, it was a cheap breakfast option when there aren't many of those in town.

Great place for brunch. There is plenty of room for seating and the wait wasn't too long, about 15 minutes. Parking was a bit limited but there was additional parking opposite of the restaurant that is not paved so very muddy when raining. The service was speedy and the food was really great. The homemade biscuits were really good. Hash-browns were tasty but could have used a bit more spices. The waffle was good but not the best. Overall the food was great, service was great and wait time was minimal. For sure give this place a try if you're in Port A. Oh and breakfast ends at 11 am.

Not a great place for breakfast. Burnt biscuits, burnt hash browns and a serious bug/insect problem are the reasons we won't be back. Waitress was really nice and friendly but other than that, a real disappointment. The fan in the front of the waiting area was a hazard as there was no cover. Wish I could say the atmosphere was great but it was mediocre at best.

I've been singing the praises of this place for a few years and it continues to be our #1 favorite place in PA. Not necessarily for atmosphere or ambience but for just quality food at a more than fair price. Had lunch yesterday and breakfast this morning and the food is excellent and served hot. And if your frustrated with all the price hikes at restaurants since Harvey, this is a place where you get lots of great food for $10-$12, instead of $18-$25 like other places. Sure they increased prices after rebuilding from Harvey but maybe by 20%, not 50-60%. Check out my breakfast this morning for under $10.

We have been to the island cafe many times over the years and this is the first time since hurricane Harvey devastating damage to the island. The cafe was great all new interior, and tables. Waitress was great fast and attentive. We went here for breakfast and the price was great. By far the best restaurant for traditional breakfast on the island.

This is our "go to" breakfast location when we visit the Island. Always clean and service is amazing. This time we had the Biscuits and Sausage gravy- fluffy and smothered- so delicious and the Western Omelet with a pancake- also delicious. With such a great breakfast- we decided to try lunch the next day. Lunch was a let down- the "Chicken Parm" was the same lunch special 2 days in a row- the chicken/sauce was good, but the noodles were not. Decided to try the "All you can eat fried fish"- The fresh fish was "mild" it was Drum. While cooked well- it truly had no flavor and the batter was lacking flavor. The side of peas/carrots and fries were from frozen, and also lacking flavor. The cocktail sauce and tartar sauce added the flavor to the fish. Will HIGHLY recommend the breakfast menu- but not the items we had from the Lunch menu.

Completely forgettable food. The menu is not laid out for a family who might want an egg platter or anything similar. The huge pancakes you're so much are tough, chewy, and nearly flavorless. The biscuits were more like cake in texture.Careful of the steep dip in the driveway too as we scraped our muffler backing out.The only redeeming point was our very kind waitress-hopefully she moves on.Sign at the door emphasized supporting local small business which I'm happy to do, when the service provided is better than corporate chains.

Hostess, who I believe is a server was extremely rude. From the moment we walked in, she sighed just at the sight of our large party of 8. When we asked for a high chair, she got triggered. We decided to leave because on top of the rude behavior, the mugginess of the restaurant was disgusting. It felt dirty in there. As we told her we were leaving, she rudely said, "Oh so now you don't want to eat here. You wanna leave?" I kindly told her she was rude & we were going somewhere else. This lady followed me out & kept asking why we were leaving. Scary!!!
