Ingleside Animal Hospital

We had our two shih-tsu groomed here today and she did an amazing job. Our female is 11 years old and our male is 8 and they both came out from grooming looking so nice. We were in this area for the winter, so weren't sure where to go for their grooming. We would recommend Ingleside for grooming.

I am a Winter Texan. I brought my 14 month old puppy to this clinic because I suspected a bladder or a urinary tract infection. The clinic staff and technicians were very professional and kind, however, the vet, Dr. Broussard was absolutely horrible! I have NEVER been treated in such a rude, condescending, and unprofessional manner in all my life! I brought in a urine sample, and told them that my dogs water intake was normal, and nothing had changed suddenly. This asshole of a vet STARTED the conversation by telling me I was wrong, that his pee was too light, and that he HAD been drinking more water than usual. When I told him that I was the one who lived with my dog, and knew my dog, he again questioned my judgement. In fact he questioned my knowledge of my own dog's breed when I shared the scientific DNA results with him, he even questioned my judgement about being from Minnesota! Said in a VERY condescending tone "Why on God's earth would you want to live THERE"?! It then got worse. He began to examine my dog, shoving a thermometer FAR up my dog's butt, and twisted it! Then he started roughly palpating my dog's tummy. When my puppy cried at his touch (WTF?!) and I reached out to comfort my baby, the vet scolded me for letting my own dog!! "He will bite you as I'm examining him"! I promptly told him to go to hell, as he had NO BUSINESS telling me I wasn't allowed to pet my own dog, leashed my dog, and walked out, NEVER TO RETURN! I cannot believe how poorly I was treated, and not only that, I walked out without a diagnosis! Don't ever take your animal to this clinic unless you want to be treated like trash! Unacceptable!

Since I don't live in the Coastal Bend at present, I want to say a few farewell words about Ingleside Animal Hospital and Dr. Broussard and the crew. I'm hoping that when we get moved into our house in San Antonio, we'll be able to "commute" three hours to take our cats to see their friends at this clinic. That's right--that's how great it is, it's worth a six-hour round trip! I can't say enough good things about the caring staff at Ingleside, and if my cats could talk, they'd agree. We miss you, all of you, and we thank you for the amazing care we've received from this clinic. You're the best.

Dr. Broussard is not just a good veterinarian, he's a great doctor! He explains things so that it's easy to understand and does not spend your money unnecessarily. Thank you.

This hospital is only in business for the money. The price is ridiculously high for any service, the staff can be rude, & there are stories from in-town of services of animals passing away, rejected, arrogant attitudes, & always about the price-before-service.

The staff and Dr Ricky are amazing. They take care of our children with great care and are always upfront about the issues.

If you are from Ingleside like me, then you probably know this already, but this guy is not known for being very nice. This is by far the most condescending person in the field of animal care that I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.If you enjoy having someone talk down to you with sarcastic comments and insult you in your time of need while telling you that you don't know about your own animals, then this vet might be right for you. I took my dog there about six months ago in a pretty desperate situation, and he was just absolutely awful. He insulted me he was rude, and he was not even answering the questions I was asking him. I'm not perfect but this guy was on another level.Bottom line, I took my dog and left and told him where to stick it. Then took my dog to a reputable vet, who actually cares about me, my questions, and my animals.I highly recommend that you avoid this place at all costs.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the front desk. Every time I call I'm put on hold and forgotten - sat on hold 7 minutes before I hung up today and 5 minutes the previous time. Half the time I get hung up on.I then send emails about my requests and they don't respond and snark off about how busy they are and they don't check emails. So that makes me snark off about being put on hold every time I call. So then it becomes a snark fest. I get it. Y'all are busy.If I didn't like how well dogs respond to the vet techs and the vet himself, I would take them elsewhere.Oh and when I called to set up boarding for last weekend I specifically told them we had 3 dogs (got a new puppy). I sent over vax records for the 3rd dog. I emailed to confirm 3 dogs. Texted to confirm 3 dogs. We get there, no record of my 3rd dog anywhere. When I told them on the phone that I wanted to start bringing the puppy there too and schedule her snip snip, she blew me off.Your front desk needs serious help and attitude adjustment.

had taken my dog for a bit of an emergency. He had ripped his skin above his left rear hip. It was torn badly. The CS said they could help , took him in and would call. I was called after everything was done. Not before. The vet attending him was very full of himself and basically talked down to me. They said they had cleaned the wound and stapled it shut. No meds were given during or after. The staples pulled apart the next day, there heavy drainage from infection and I had to take him to another emergency vet. Were they had to take out infected tissue, remove dead skin and sedated and put in stitches. I also was given a two-week supply of antibiotic's and pain medication. When I talked to Ingleside and told them what happen they could have cared less. They have sent me a letter stated they will never see my dog again and have deleted all his files. If you are looking for sarcasm. Holier than though attitude and don't care about your pets health and just want to be ripped off this the place to go. Roy R.

Felt the need to leave a review because after leaving Texas and moving back home, we have yet to find another vet this great! Low wait times, professional & always reasonably priced. Every single time I went in I had my concerns addressed and they always tried to make it as cost effective as possible. Wish I could say the same for the vets in New Orleans!
