Indianola Fishing Marina

Besides being right on the water- and you can FISH! This place makes some GREAT FOOD!The Flounder Sandwich -yumolicious!The Jacob Burger or just the plain Cheeseburger add grilled onions and jalapenos. Bacon wrapped grilled shrimp are to die for! The Homemade pizza is cheesy deliciousness. The drinks are strong and good pours. Try the Fix Vodka from Bastrop TX. Yep- all good stuff. Open early for fisherman- grab the Trash Taco for good breakfast!!Seriously though- you can go and sit right on the water and eat sipping a great drink and just watch the wildlife and boats! Run - don't walk. Or you can kayak there- BUT Go!Great people working a great place!

Top notch, food, bait, music and people my wife and I are going there every time we get a chance beautiful location and boat ramp.

Was exactly what were were expecting.Daytime fishing was great, got skunked at night, but still fun nonetheless

Staying nearby and this was the closest place for bait, so stopped by in the morning. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the ladies were very helpful. Returned in the afternoon to grab a bite to eat, and sat at the bar. The burgers were delicious! It was huge, I was unable to finish it. Jose was at the bar and he was also very polite.

This place is amazing. If you are just looking for a great meal or a cold beer we'll you fish. This place has a great dock you can fish off with rod holders built into the rail. The staff is super friendly and will tell you the truth if the fish are biting lol

***We just came out to fish and hang out for the day.***My husband and were staying in Port Lavaca for a few days. During our stay, we wanted to make sure and squeeze in some fishing. We heard about Indianola and figured it sounded fun. We really liked it, here's why:1. It's off the beaten path. We like hanging out without crowds, so this was a big plus for us.2. The fishing marina is great. There's plenty of seating, much of it in the shade. There's fans all over to make the heat bearable and keep the bugs away. Lots of room to move around and find your perfect fishing spot. It's right on a channel and there's plenty of life around.3. There are bathrooms here! No porta-potty nastiness here. Hallelujah!4. There's a bait shop, convenience store, and a little cafe all on property. You really can set up shop to stay all day here if you want. If you forgot something, chances are it's available right on property. Everything is reasonably priced too. 5. The food from the cafe is tasty! We had popcorn shrimp, the flounder sandwich, fries, tots, and some onion rings. It was all tasty and affordable. 6. During our day trip, we caught a ton of fish, had dolphins playing a few yards away in the channel, a sea turtle play peekaboo with us next to the dock, pelicans everywhere, and saw cute crabs all over the place. It was a great day on the water.So it's not fancy at all. There's your regular costal fisherman crowd just hanging out and working on their boats. It's relaxed and unpretentious. It's $5 a day per person to fish and you are good to go. If you want a fun day fishing, check out Indianola for sure.

The food is pretty dang good -- y'all get the burger!! You won't be disappointed. Great spot for fishing. Check out their Facebook page for pics of huge fish. Owner is very accommodating. We plan to rent one of the new cabins for a night or two with our kids in the future. Will report back once we do -- they look really nice!! Indianola has done a great job with amenities given the Calhoun county flood plain makes it hard to find places to stay close to the water Ok you already know how I feel about the burgers but have you had their breakfast?!?!?!!!!!!! The pancakes are made fresh right before they are poured which makes them extra fluffy. Merissa's BOB (breakfast on a bun) is better than what-a-burgers. Yup I said it!!!!

Stayed over at one of their cabins at $200 a night. It was next to the pump sewer system. The cabin itself was great. The strong stench of sewage....Good selection of bait. Cozy restaurant with good food and specials. The staff was for the most part great except for the middle aged, heavy set am lady. Outside of unnecessarily rude to me & boyfriend. Refusing late check out, after we had been told the day before by 2 separate staff members that we should take advantage of it since we were only there 1 day and nobody else was renting the cabin. The night prior while fishing near the docks a truck pulled up opened both front doors and proceeded to play their music full blast at 10:30 at night..6 or 7 other people fishing. Apparently they were staff. I will never go back to that place. So many great fishing spots but not this one.

Rock solid customer service!!! My wife really enjoyed her burger, unfortunately my flounder burger was very over fried and crispy/crumbly. Definitely didn't change anything for us as we absolutely enjoyed hanging out here on our vacation weekend. Highly recommend visiting if in the area.
