Icon at Corpus Christi

I've been here for about a month but began my hunt for an apartment over two months ago. Icon is amazing!! I'm so happy to have found this complex. It all began with Kris at the front office. She has been so very helpful and made finding my new home here a real pleasure! She took her time and was very patient with me on the application process. She continued to follow up once I moved in to ensure my comfort and satisfaction with the apartment. Facilities and service technicians, like Lonnie, have been very helpful and quick with responding to the one issue I had with my key. Other than that, it has been all 5 stars!I highly recommend this complex if you're looking for some place close enough to NAS but still keeps you on this side of Oso Bay. Great job all! Keep it up!

I moved in a few weeks ago, after looking at numerous properties, the price could not be beat for the quality. I love the openness of the layout, and the option of the patio or study on the two bedroom. I work from home and needed an office space, so this was a dream come true for me when I found it. Everyone seems very friendly so far, and I feel safe here. This was extremely important to me in my search. The grounds are kept up beautifully, and I enjoy my strolls with my pup and kiddos saying hi to the neighbors. I also rented a garage, and even though I have had a few hiccups with the clicker, they are quick to respond and make sure it is taken care of. The office staff has been great, Kris is a delight! Although, I'm sure all of the maintenance team is great as well, I have only had the pleasure of meeting Lonnie. He is extremely helpful, polite and knowledgeable. Keep it up Icon! :)

I have lived here for almost a year and my first impression was a sense of relief. New property new apartment and basic amenities. Since my stay here I have had my vehicle burglarized $500.00 yeti locked with a yeti heavy duty lock full of drinks and ice stolen on Fourth of July weekend 2016. So I found my yeti in a NEIGHBORS garage. Went to the office and I was advised to file a police report. Filed a police report and nothing happened. Apparently my yeti is not the only one stolen there were 2 yetis in that garage. When I spoke with the office and described what I saw it just so happened I described another yeti that was stolen that same weekend. I have heard from my neighbors that their vehicles have been broken into, tools stolen and exterminators entering apartments and video of the exterminator going thru their medicine cabinets and personal belongings in their apartment. There were 4 police cruisers here YESTERDAY raiding an apartment of the suspect on the news who attempted to abduct a female at the local stripes. My vehicle has been locked in my broken garage 2 times, my ice machine freezes monthly, my upstairs neighbor had a party and somebody vomited so they washed the vomit with water and fabuloso dripping bio hazard from the walls steps and upper level onto the top of my head. My other neighbor threw the whole Christmas tree with the ornaments still on it over the wall, not the trash or oversized bin which is provided. Am I disappointed, absolutely. Would I recommend this property? No cheap appliances, vehicle burglaries, exterminator who violates your home and steals and since the 2016 Fourth of July theft of my Yeti Cooler you'll be happy to know there are now 4 Yetis in there. We aren't all bad here but the ones who have been victimized, violated and stolen from are watching out for each other and looking out for another I wish I could say that about the property management. Yes we complain yes we file police reports yes we get angry but it does not matter. Move here at your own risk, get good renters insurance preferably one without a deductible because you will need it.Here's an important update for anyone thinking about renting at the icon. I left my apartment "Spotless" , had to relocate due to work demands upon close review of my lease I discovered I had a 13 month lease for a 1 year rental agreement. So we moved after 1 year and paid the extra month I disconnected my electricity which also had a 12 month contract and to my surprise I was charged daily for 30 days for shutting off my power 30 days early......but wait there's more! I was also charged for water consumption and I wasn't even there and it was the most expensive water bill I had ever received. In short my entire deposit was kept and I had to pay $8.80 to clear my balance. So please read your contract carefully and kiss your deposit goodbye.

Living at Icon for a few months and feel very safe and home. I have nothing to complain about and the rent is reasonable. I would recommend that place to anyone I know! :-)

We have live here almost 2 years and I thought that living by the pool on the first floor would be cool it's not! and i'm sure because we are by the pool our rent is a little more I would have rather move to the very back on the 3rd floor and if I would have known that this suppose to be gated complex did not include the POOL which by the way is open the PUBLIC ? families from all around the neighbor hood bring there whole family and friends to the tie up all the tables around the pool and the grills which keeps residents from wanting to cook and no Icon Staff to police this problem. This company has no one watching the pool or monitoring the loud music of all kinds till late night Parties ,under age drinking going on made to calls to PD know one showed up. Pretty sad that the complex has no emergency number that works or that anybody would show up Memorial day weekend Saturday 05/24/2020 LOUD music drunk people in the pool fight breaks out and again had to call CCPD and no one showed up would not recommend this complex and cant wait till move out of here.

I've been living at the Icon since July 2017, so this review is basically in respond to the bad review made by Angelica. I empathize with her and I know that places go through many different managements, and obviously, the manager that was in charge of the Icon during that time was doing a lousy job. I'm sorry for what happened to you.Like I said, I've been living here for 2 years and I'm ready to renew my contract again, because this is the BEST apartment complex in this area. Trust me, I've looked around, not because I'm dissatisfied, but because I'm always open to improvements, I don't like to be stuck. And I haven't found any place better than this and I'm going to tell you why:1. Locacion: Perfect!!!! Everything you need is close by.2. Environment: this place looks like a resort. It is always clean and well maintain. Not to mention that the inside of the apartments are very delicate and modern.3. Affordable: for the good quality they offer, this is the best price in the area, nobody can beat it.4. Safe: is a gated apartment, which minimizes outsiders.5.Gym: 24 hours.6. Pool7. Business center: fax and copy machines, computers.And a very friendly staff, not to mention that the maintenance service is very quick and efficente.

They got rid of the dishonest sales guy (finally), so although the staff is very very nice, generally you are nickel and dimed for EVERYTHING (garage door opener? you have to pay for that on top of the rent, and if you want the gate to open without using the number pad, you have to pay for a separate gate opener - they couldn't combine them into one?). Switching apartments? You have to pay an application fee (really? a current resident needs to fill out another application and pay for it all over again?). Be careful with choosing the electricity/cable companies. They make commission when they try to force you to use their "recommended" companies. There are cheaper options, so do your research ahead of timeConstruction is terrible. Get a loft unit with no one above or below you if you can. Regular apartments you can hear the person below you speaking every word in a normal voice (almost like standing next to you). This is no exaggeration. This place is pricey for what you get - cheap materials. My apartment was filthy when I moved in (construction debris/dust despite the old sales guy telling me that "housekeeping went in and cleaned"). I have pictures and will be fighting the cleaning charge when I finally get to move out - I had to clean it and it was a brand new unit. There are better places in the area. I do not recommend this place at all. If you are in a crunch, its probably worth it to do month to month while you get to know the areas and find a better place to live.
