Hu Dat

We recently dined at a unique restaurant concept that combines Benchwarmers (serving burgers, wings, and poboys) with Hu Dat (offering Asian cuisine). It was an interesting mix and seemed like a great idea.We decided to order wings and the Hunan shrimp and scallops with fried rice. My little one really enjoyed the wings, which were a hit. However, I found that the shrimp and scallops could use a bit more flavor.Overall, it was a decent meal with some highlights, and we appreciate the variety of options available. This place gets packed!

Turn down your hearing aids . Even with the overwhelming reverberation from conversations at every table the meal was great. It has been years since we dined here. Locals and tourists agree that you must come here often. I love the sign that reads "This is not fast food" but we received ours in a timely manner.

Excellent food! Can't say enough about how good the Shaken Beef was. . .some of the best flavored, tender beef I've ever eaten.Husband had orange chicken and it was also excellent. Large portions.Worth the 25 min wait for a table - will go back if in Rockport again.

This place came highly recommended for beef pho. But I was bitterly disappointed. The pho tasted vaguely metallic and must have been made from a paste. I ordered 8 large beef pho broths as I need it for health reasons. And I ended up throwing it all down the sink, as no one on my 5 person family could stand the fake taste. The manager was really nice, but the pho was simply not palatable. The beef pho at Pho Life, however, was to die for.

Just not worth it for the price. Two main dishes and an appetizer and we're $60 in. Quality is just okay. Not sure we'll be back if we don't hit the lottery.

Great food and service! Love their bun bowls and eggrolls so much! We eat here often and always love it! Lots of different great food!

We love HuDat/Benchwarmers! Whether we are craving Cum Ga or Fish Tacos! They never disappoint! Can't wait to go again!

Pan fried dumplings were yummy. I had the Rooster, the chicken was juicy and a little spicy. Bun was good and the chipotle aioli was perfect, not to spicy or overwhelming. Waffle sweet potato fries. No further explanation needed for those bad boys. I love that they have so many options so it's a good restaurant to go with if you have someone that's picky or if you want asian and they want a burger. Now.... the drunken noodles. We had a little mishap - didn't notice the *** indicating it was spicy. And when the waiter said "original is spicy" we heard "original OR spicy" to which my sister said original. Original - if you like crazy spicy, like a spicy that hits you when you first bite into it and then continues to smack you around later. Get this! I will say, it was good, but SO SPICY!! We had to place another order for the noodles with no spice, as none of us would have been able to eat it (no refunds or exchanges on specials) and when we got that plate out there was a noticeable difference in color (first dish was red with spice). I'm not trying to keep you from trying the drunken noodles, honestly if we're back in this area I'm pretty sure that's what i'll order, I just want anyone who is considering it to know --- spicy is SPICY! The second plate was super good - lots of meat and yummy sauce. So pay better attention to the * and know what spice level you can handle. Also, the spicy noodles did not go to waste as we took them back and gave them to a family member who loves spicy, he enjoyed them.
