Hu-Dat Noodle House

I drive out the way 50 miles to try this place. Ok, so it was the only place within 50 miles to try but it was well worth the visit. It was easy to find. Easy to get into the well maintained parking lot and there was plenty of parking. It's in a strip mall, and the outside is plain, but do not judge a book by the cover. Walking in, I was greeted immediately. In the age of covid, there were warnings on the door about face coverings and hand sanitizer at the door. Tables were limited to provide social distancing and all of the staff were wearing masks. The smell of the cooking food was intoxicatingly delicious. My drink order was taken as I was seated at my table. I had a sweet tea which is standard here in this part of the world. For an appetizer I ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and then spied an appetizer pho. What a concept that other Vietnamese places should take note of. I LOVE pho and I almost always defer to it even if there are other items I would love to try on the menu. Because I could get an appetizer portion and try other items, I mean how could I pass this up? The pho was delicious. Others have reviewed the broth as too much this or too little of that. I thought it delicious. Every place has their own flavor and every person their own preference. I enjoy the differing variations and I was not disappointed. Because of covid the sriracha was served in a small container with hoisin. This was a perfect amount and combination for the serving size and I had plenty of basil, cilantro and mung bean sprouts. I just wished that they had an option for tripe since it is my favorite in pho. For my main course I had the Kung Pao Chicken with white rice. It was different than I expected, but as I said before I enjoy different variations of dishes and I was pleasantly surprised by this. I was well taken care of by the server and hostess staff. There was nothing I could have asked for more. The price was very reasonable for what I ordered and I was full from the ample servings. Even took some of the king pao home there was so much. I will come back if I am ever in the area again.

I had sesame chicken, it was just ok, the vegetarian delight was a soupy mess. And , their fried rice is just flavored steam rice. Overall, skip this place. You won't miss it.

Been here a couple of times now and we've always been satisfied. The customer is pretty good. The lady that takes the orders is really nice and attentive. Since she's the only one that takes the orders it can slow her down. But she's fast and makes recommendations if you ask her. We've had several of their plates. Today, we had the birds nest and almond chicken. Both delicious plates. Stop by for sure if your in the area.

Food was tasty. Good service. Servers were patient. Food came out in a timely manner. Nice place. Not too crowded.

We really like this place. We order takeout most of the time and have never had an issue with our order. When we dined in the restaurant, the server was very friendly & helped explain a few of the items for us.

Just a quick bite for lunch. Very dark inside so we had to get our phones out to read the menu. Spring rolls good but peanut sauce lacking. Bun Combo a good salad choice. My wife had the Lemon Chicken, bland and dry. Suppose to be number one. Ok is all we thought.

I had their PHO only and spring rolls about 3 times so far not the best I had. I feel in lacks some flavor. I grew up eating PHO from around the San Jose area in California so maybe just not be what I am used to. Service could use some improvement as well. Place is basic but clean.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! have been going here the last 14 years and it will always be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant! So many memories made here. Love the service and workers here they are like family! Food has changed a bit over the last few years but still great! Nice atmosphere and will always recommend this location to everyone over the other locations

So Yummy! I've heard about this place for years and finally tried it recently. The "shaken beef is my favorite " & the wait staff is very friendly! PS last time we went it was BYOB.
