Hotel Texas Hallettsville

I have never been treated so poorly by someone in Customer service. on a cold, rainy night - we pull up at 10 PM. The hotel was practically empty. The rate was excessive for a small town- and despite having AAA, AARP, and a military standing the hotel owner refused any discount. When I told her I was not happy with this she denied us a room. I advise you to look elsewhere.

Hotel Texas is a clean and affordable! Breakfast has the staples as well as new specials like croissant breakfast sandwiches or omelets. The couple that owns it is kind and helpful! Definitely my favorite place to stay while in town

Needing a place to stay in Hallettsville overnight for personal reason. I booked a room in the highest rated hotel on Yelp in town. Breakfast is included with your room stay. I am happy that I did stay in this independent hotel. Hotel Texas in Hallettsville is a good enough small town hotel. As long as you are not expecting a Four Seasons Hotel or a Ritz Carlton sort of high end resort hotel experience then you should be comfortable during your stay. This is an independent hotel with a strong Texas theme as the name indicates. The owner/manager is hands on and takes pride in what he has been able to accomplish. Rather than joining a chain of hotels the owner prefers to remain independent since he would be required to alter most of the furniture to bring things in line with the cookie cutter mediocrity of chain hotels. Hotel Texas is good enough. I do recommend this hotel.

I have been coming to this Hotel for years. I come here to have my helicopter serviced. The Hitel used to be great now it is going down hill. The girl who runs it now is very rude. the was a smell of Marijuana in the hotel I told her I was not happy. She was mad because I said something to her about the marijuana in front of another customer. However it's not like the other customer didn't smell it too. She called me rude for bringing it up. I left and went to another hotel. I'm not going back I hope the owner reads this he and I have spoken many times and I hope he finds a new person to run his hotel.

I am extremely comfortable!!! The staff: excellent, friendly, courteous, and attentive. EXAMPLE OF ATTENTIVENESS: in the bathroom of the room that we rented for 3-days.... well, before I tell you what happened I must say .... day one, everything extremely clean we walked in and felt like this is a good place to rest our head now back to the story..... OK so in the bathroom day one everything fine, day two there was this hideous cigarette smell, (yucky ducky because we ) at first we thought OK we'll just let it dissipate. However, the smell did not go away.....so we made a decision to call the front desk and without hesitation they were there taking care of the problem .........and they let us know they had a situation upstairs and it was handled and they apologized and they did not make you feel like it was nothing they could do. ( Good customers service)The time that I called and the time they arrived less that 5mins. (can you say yay!)CLEANLINESS: the hotel was outstandingly clean!!!BREAKFAST: it's free and on point and good tasting, (my hats off to the ‍ cook)I USE A HANDICAP SCOOTER My room is a handicap room ... again it was clean.IF I COULD CHANGE ANYTHING : room size for handicap not enough space. I had to be extremely careful coming in and going out of the room. (not fun )ATMOSPHERE: peaceful PLEASE CHECK OUT MY PHOTOSRECOMMENDATIONS: When ever you are in the Hallettsville, Texas area or taking a trip and need a please to sleep stop by Texas Hotel. By the way they they have handicap chair if you want to go swimming ‍ ‍

I honestly wish i could give this 0/5 stars. The absolute worst experience i've ever had at a hotel. The lady at the desk constantly harrassed myself and other guests over the the two days that we were there, verbally assaulted us, constantly did laps around the building while we were outside(definitely creeping on us), told us she was watching us on the building cameras and to top it all off, the place was overrun with feral cats(which i saw her feeding by the side entrance and she allowed vagrants to stay on the property who also harrassed us during our stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, i can't stress this enough, stay far away from this place.

We had a reservation but the door wouldn't open. We tried and the manager tried. It was a busy weekend and their prices were higher than normal. We opted to stay her instead of the less expensive place because family were staying there also. They had already charged our card, but did find us a room at the less expensive motel in town. In that motel we encountered water roaches and other disgusting things. Since we had paid this hotel, I asked for a refund of at least the difference in rates and the manager said he "couldn't" give me a refund. I know that was a lie, he co but he "wouldn't". I won't be back because of horrible customer service.

We always stay here when we in Hallettsville. We love this place. The manager is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and she makes you feel like you are home. It's one of the cleanest Hotels we've stayed. If you decide to stay at the Hotel Texas in Hallettsville you will not be disappointed. It's one of the nicest in Texas.

Stayed here just one night. Everything was clean and functioning properly. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. We will be back !

i stayed at this hotel last night. A skunk on the property sprayed my dog, a cat and a car while I was out walking my dog. we tried to get rid of the smell and finally got the smell off my dog. the scent still lingered in the room. A lady from the hotel called me and said "6 room are affected by the smell, including rooms on the second floor. The dog should've been left in the car or kenneled outside." and a $250 cleanup fee will be charged. 1st. that's a lie. the smell was only able to smell outside the room. second. if the smell went upstairs then the code enforcement officer or even the fire Marshall should be contacted as that is a fire hazard because if a smell can go through so can fire. 3rd. she wanted me to commit a crime by leaving my dog in my vehicle. tsk tsk tsk. 4th. leaving a dog kenneled outside in this heat without proper ventilation or nutrition could cause more harm. This dog (her name is Mia) has survived a house fire. she cannot be left in heat too long because her lungs don't properly work correctly. Another thing this dog has saved me more than any human could possibly imagine. if this is how all animals are looked at by management I feel for when the wounded warrior project goes and one of their dogs get sprayed by a wild animal. I understand the animal is wild. I cannot prevent what that animal does. BUT I can make sure I try to clean it up as best I can. Also I have the recording of her saying what's in quotes so if they try to say she didn't say it I'll make a TikTok and broadcast the recording which I am legally able to do so.
