Hotel Texas Cuero

Patel was kind enough to offer to impregnate me when he came to my door with my requested do not disturb sign, barged in past me, proceeded to look at all my things in the room, ask what I do for a living and if I have a man and kids over and over again, and when I said I don't have kids he offered to help with that. All while I'm wearing a wedding ring and crying my bc I was looking for my lost dog (the reason I was there). He also creepily stuck his tongue out one too many times during this disrespectful, unprofessional and sexually harassing encounter. Was going to give a great review before this disgusting display happened. I look forward to my next stay!

Nope. Will never stay here again! For one, as stated previously by another Yelper, this is a motel. So, that's something that everyone needs to note prior to staying. My husband and I knew this before we booked, but we were out of options on places to stay as most were booked by the time we went online to search for a place to stay for his Water Safari Marathon. This place is SUPER sketchy...people hanging out in front of their rooms, constant in and out of vehicles...I'm not sure what was going on and I don't care to know either. The rooms appeared clean upon entering, but the rug was pretty icky (kept our shoes on the entire time), the sheets were clean, but the blanket was pretty old. There was hair in the coffee maker and the towels were so old the labels were completely sheer (see pics) and the color of the white towels had yellowed. All that aside, the night manager was HORRIBLE. My husband and I went out to dinner and we got back our key card wasn't working. So we got it reset. We then left to Wal-mart, to get cups and some necessities that we had forgotten and when we returned, our card (again) was not working. By this time the manager was acting really annoyed with us as if it were our fault. Surprise - if HE was annoyed, imagine us?! The third time (this is all in the same night btw) we had gone over to visit with friends that were also in the canoe race and had just checked in (wish we could've warned them prior to checking in) and again...key card was not working. Mind you, it was POURING down rain. This time, the manager got extremely angry, told my husband that he wanted to try it himself (as if two 40 year old adults would be messing around with a motel manager for fun....) only to get so angry at US and start yelling at my husband! I was across the way at the door of our friend's room and could hear him yelling at my husband and saying that we should keep our door open with the metal security lock if we're going to leave the room! Ummm, what?!? NO. We are not leaving our room open, unlocked or any of the sort if we're leaving or if we're inside! He then told my husband he was going to REMOVE all of our things and move them himself (not in a polite way, he was saying this like a parent scolding his kids) to another room. Seriously? All we wanted was to get inside and sleep! Stay away from this place, and if you decide to ignore my warning and stay anyway, get ready to deal with Patel's attitude.

Short and to the point, room was very clean and smelled good, bed was comfy and plenty of extra room to sprawl out. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downfall was their pillows, to small. Other than that I'd definitely stay there again. Hey what other hotel offers 2 free beers per day your staying there?!

Will definitely be staying here from now on, I travel to Cuero often for work. It's refreshing that I can bring my dogs to a very clean, nicely decorated and greeted by beyond hospitable staff!! Great prices and breakfast

They lose the 4th star for lying, this is a motel. This is probably the best motel in which I have stayed. The staff was friendly for the most part, and were flexible with my crew's uncertain work schedule. The room was comfortable and clean. Matresses were surprisingly comfortable and the supplied toiletries were high quality. I would stay here again, if I had the misfortune of being in cuero again.

We stayed for a night & got a great nights sleep. The beds are tall & comfy. The pillows are big & fluffy. The room/bathroom was very clean. Shower water pressure could be a tad better but it was perfect. I was impressed w/this hotel & would definitely stay again.
