Hot Nails

While visiting Port Aransas the week of Oct 10th and decided to have a pedicure after driving past Hot Nails. The polish looked great when done but a few days later my left big toe started hurting and turning red. It was infected!! A few days later the right big toe did the same, but the pain was so great, red and swollen that I ended up at the doctor's office and was prescribed an anti-biotic!! The container that the instruments used to do the pedicure were in a blue solution that at the time I remember thinking I wonder if they cut corners and use blue dye in water instead of the disinfecting solution!! It must not have been a disinfecting solution since I got a serious infection!!! I highly recommend not going there!!!

Rude people and broken chair! Need I write more? Place obviously had only one other person getting service done on a Saturday because it is simply awful! I highly recommend not getting service done at this place.

Love this place best mani-pedi ever. Recommend to anyone. They have great prices and very nice owners. Going back again today. I go here everytime I come to Port Aransas.

I just got a spa pedicure here and it was just okay. She didn't do a very good job of removing the calluses from my heels at all, which was a big reason I came. While the massage felt good and seemed much longer than usual, she basically only rubbed the tops of my legs and feet, and didn't even touch the bottom of my feet which is usually the best part in my opinion. She did a beautiful job painting them and was very nice. Just not my favorite pedicure.

DONT GO HERE!!! first off, if i could give no stars, i would. my mom and i are on vacation here and wanted to get our nails done together. this place is terrible. the man was very rude. the color of my nail turned out super light and looked nothing like the sample. i asked for another coat to make it darker and he told me no, that is the color, so i asked for a darker one. then, he made a dent in my nail and when my mom asked him to fix it, he ignored her so she said it again. i then assume he told told his coworker (the woman next to him in their language) that he didn't want to fix my nail. he left the room and went to the back, basically disappeared. the woman sat down and asked what was wrong and started to fix my nail. she took off the gel polish completely and asked me what polish it was as if i was supposed to remember the number. i said i didn't know and she got up and found it, and proceeded to redo the whole nail. when she finished, she failed to put any cuticle oil on my hand or lotion and a massage like they are mean to. she left and went to someone else. we had to ask her to come back and finish my manicure. we told her can you please do the cuticle oil and lotion massage? she put cuticle oil on and left. the man never came back out. we gave them a very low tip and left. once i was outside and could really see my nails, i looked and they are messy with polish on my skin and dents/bubbles on my nails as well as a piece of hair from a brush or cotton ball stuck under my nail. he also told me that all of my nails are uneven and jagged. my mom and i have been to many, many nail salons separate and together, and we both agree that this is the worst experience we've had. they had terrible and negative attitudes when we either asked them to fix something they messed up, leaving on the job, and not finishing the job. please don't waste your money and go here!

This is a nice place to go I had a good pedicure which was very relaxing and my nails came out looking very nice the staff is super sweet and seem very grateful for your business both salons on the island are amazing it's really a matter of where you can get in first

Disappointing. Unfriendly staff and I was nicked TWICE (ouch!!). Above all, the massage was pitiful -- half the reason I get a spa pedicure is for the glorious massage!! My 2 year old could have given a better, more focused massage. The technique itself was fine - my nails look okay - but overall, a definite lack luster experience. Save your money or go elsewhere.

My first time here! Got a mani/spa pedi. Good price and Tina was terrific. We had a lovely chat while she rid my heels of barnacles and made my toes look pretty again. Her three year old kept a running commentary up and was very entertaining. I loved the massage that comes with the spa pedi. It was so relaxing. My nails got a good shaping, too! I will be back on a regular basis!

I had a marvelous experience at Hot Nails and had a lovely pedicure. I highly recommend Hot nails.

Went for nexgen nails on 5/3/18 paid $40, which is high for no tips and not French. By 5/8/18 one nail started to chip. I have had this type of nail renewed monthly for over a year and never had this problem. I am here for two weeks on vacation.
