This is a wonderful place to get a meal. The atmosphere is very pleasant and casual, great for friends or families. The restaurant is run by incredibly friendly Mexican folks who will make you feel right at home. Yami was very kind and, since I'm new here, recommended some venues that I could go to for Latin music in the area. As for the food... the chips are probably the best I've ever had and the salsa was great too. I don't eat meat much, so the lack of all veggie options was kind of a downside for me, but I decide to try something new with the mollejas. The meat was not really "me taza de té" but if you like meat you will probably love it. The arroz, frijoles, guacamole, pico de gallo, and veggies that came with it were all very good and high quality. When I come back, I'll probably just order the sides haha. I may end up moving to Corpus Christi, but if I don't, I will be sure to stop in on my next visit! (hopefully my Spanish is better by then too lol)

Friend found a ROACH in her taco and the management did not even care to apologize. These things can be forgiven and don't speak for the restaurant at large but the silence on behalf of the owners do. In fact, they went as far as to ridicule my friend? For something she didn't do? For wanting an apology and a change? Streets are saying this place isn't it anymore

This location is actually Hermanos Solis #2 (obscured by palm tree hanging over the sign). I didn't realize there was a #1, which looks fancy by comparison. I was pointed to this place by my nephew, who grew up nearby and went to Miller HS -- he specializes in finding cheap dumps that serve good food. This place definitely qualifies! I love the hand-lettered sign on the front door: "Restrooms for paying customers only." It is pretty scary looking and not in a good part of town, but man, do they serve great breakfast tacos. You can tell how good they are by the line of cars at the drive thru window. Fresh, fluffy handmade tortillas, stuffed with a generous amounts of whatever you ordered: soft scrambled eggs, delicious refried beans, chorizo, you name it they've got it. Their carne guisada is perfect, flavored just right, with tender beef chunks (no gristle or fat) and yummy gravy. Surprisingly, their salsa is just OK. I def recommend this place, and look forward to trying their upscale (ha) location #1 on my next visit to CC.
