I was able to make a three day turkey hunt on Haun Ranch. As soon as we got there, we got unloaded and Terry showed me around the property and gave me some good ideas where the birds liked to congregate. When we got back to the camp I changed clothes and went to see if I could roost a bird. I heard two birds gobble as they flew up and knew it was going to be a good morning. On my first hunt I must have heard at least 5-7 different gobblers. I was able to call in a pretty Rio on my first morning. The second morning I set up on some birds that didn't cooperate. I made a move and found receptive birds on a complete separate area of the property. Four long beards came in to investigate and I was able to take my second longbeard in as many hunts. My wife came with me and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Haun Ranch. The camp was clean and comfortable. Terry was very helpful and a great host. I certainly plan on being back. He has done a great job managing the game on this property.

I just returned from a four day pig hunt on the Haun ranch. Terry and his family couldn't have been more acomidating. The only problem I had was trying to determine which feeder to hunt when as the jobs were hitting all of them during the course of the night. I was able to finally get a nice 190 and boar. I will most definitely be returning.

Bad ExperienceI can't believe we paid $1500 for two nights hunting on this property. My two sons and I are experienced hunters and have hunted hogs before in Texas with great success. We set up in four different blinds over two nights and didn't see a single hog, day or night. And we had good thermals too. The owner, Terry Haun, offered for us to hunt in the high fence area (for a higher price), or to be guided (at a fee). He was also kind enough to offer us additional thermals (for rent, of course). When I expressed some disappointment at coming away empty-handed he replied, "So I should shut down my business and livelihood because the hogs are getting too smart?"But hey, if you can't hunt hogs on his property, you can hunt cockroaches in his bunkhouse. It was filthy. Someone previously had gone around stomping on cockroaches and left them on the floor. The ceiling fan over the kitchen table was covered in dirt, blowing dirt and dust over whatever food you have on the table. The plumbing was jerry-rigged and the bathroom nasty. I have date and location stamps on the photos.Obviously, we will not be returning.

My father, brother in-law and I had an incredible time hog hunting at Haun Ranch! As soon as we arrived Terry greeted us and showed us around the ranch. He was very informative and accommodating. The lodging was spacious and comfortable. The ranch was beautiful, and the hogs were plentiful! While we were there we also saw plenty deer and turkey as well. This is a fantastic operation and we will definitely be back! Great for a guys hunting and fishing trip or a family trip. P.S. Terry also cleaned and processed our hogs for us too! If you are searching for fun, exciting, and productive hog hunt look no further than Haun Ranch you will not be disappointed!

This is a great ranch, we've been there 5 times hog hunting, and had a great time every time. Lots of hogs and the feeders have green lights for night hunting. Bunk house is big and clean with pool table and ping pong table. Terry we will be back in february.

My brother and I booked the $400 each two day hog hunt. Arrive around 2pm one day, hunt that night, all day the next, hunt that night, and leave around noon the next day. The price included lodging (simple bed and shared bathroom, full kitchen, fire pit and wood, game room, electricty, etc. The price also included use of ATV's (and golf carts), 100 yard rifle range right outside the lodging, and the owner Mr. Haun skins, cleans, quarters, and refrigerates any game you kill.We arrived at 2pm and he showed us around the ranch along with a group of three hunters from Wisconsin. Within a few minutes he stops next to his oat field and points out fresh pig sign....like really severe pig sign. He shows us the feeders and the back trails but my brother and I came prepared with night-vision and thermals. Haun said day time pig hunting is tough and the pigs have learned to only come out at night. I didn't want to sit in a stupid stand all day anyways so we returned to the lodging and got some sleep.1st night- We went out around 10PM and stalked around the oat field. Around 11PM I spotted a sounder of hogs and was able to take one down. We took the pig to the cleaning area and Haun did all the dirty work. We retired for the night. 2nd day- The next day we decided to have some fun and went out to Haun's high fence area. Our initial plan was to just explore and see some game and to help the Wisconsin boys get a pig. As luck would have it my brother took a seated shot on a running pig and nailed a perfect 50 pounder. Haun charges $1.25 per pound for a pig killed in the high fence and we felt that was a damn good deal considering the pigs in the high fence are all corn fed. They are definitely still a challenge to get and if you want to spot and stalk the high fence is a hell of a time. Last night- We went out around 10PM. I spotted two pigs in the oat field but they spooked before I could get a good shot. We circled around and ran into a big sounder of pigs that moved to the middle of the oat field. I took one pig from 200 yards and we decided three pigs for the weekend was enough for us. Few words of advice: If you are hunting to get a pig you need to come prepared. Night-vision or thermal is a must. Pigs are crafty animals and if they are hunted in the day they will only go out at night. Haun ranch is a place where if you only hunt during the daytime you WILL be disappointed. Go late evening, early morning, or be smart and bring some technology. I am by no means a good or experienced hunter but I have hunted pig in CA (public lands) and daytime hunting is always disappointing. Haun has nightvision to rent so not owning any really isn't a good excuse. There are even companies that rent thermals and night vision.Anyways, my brother and I had a great time and we will definitely be back!
