Hatch Rv Park

Really nice ladies in the office. Quiet and shady location. Lots of birds. We even enjoyed a visit from a pretty woodpecker. The only let down was that the WiFi didn't work.

Road are much in need of repair . Grounds are not kept up ,theres trash on ground . Everything is aged and not taken care of .Haven't been able to connect to internet . They have made up excuses every time i go to the office and ask . About half of the washing machines in the laundry facility are out of order and have standing water in them .

MANAGER is very RUDE and none understanding of people work schedule, office is always closing for some ungodly reason, no heat, no bathroom, fly in office, kitchen dirty, infested with mold, and excuse after excuse, roads are terrible, buildings are run down, all kinds of hidden fees, you better read paperwork twice to three times, this place is not worth the money 6-750.00 monthly.. I myself will not be back !! You have to pay extra for everything .. After working all night they called me around 9-10 am waking me up asking me to move a car that wasn't even associated with me.. loss of water many times in my 2 month stay. I had to bring to there attention that they had people parking In front of my camper , I could not even get to tongue of camper if I had to leave in case of emergency .. VERY DISSATISFIED !!

When I left from there my car needed struts, control arms, inner and outer tie rods, and of course I went through several tires. Pot holes were very bad. Oppps one more thing. Of course I needed a wheel alignment

Choose somewhere else to stay..There is ONLY 1 employee that will treat you with respect in the office. The office manager is so RUDE. If you do not desire to go over about 5-6 very very tall speed bumps, pot holes, and awful driveways don't stay here. The park itself is very outdated. It's not in a great part of town..there are lots of homeless people around and random people in and out at all times. There were also homeless people coming in and using the the park showers. They do have codes on the doors but people never shut the doors fully so they got free range of the showers. I never used them but we would see them in and out at night. Also while we stayed there people were also having their personal belongings stolen from sites. The campground itself didn't warn us, they sent out a paper that said to keep outside belongings to a minimum and be sure to have them locked. We had to find out from other renters that things we're getting stolen. Just be very mindful and aware of these things before choosing to stay here. Not all rv sites have parking so you have to park vehicles in between your sites on the grass. Some spots do have enough parking but majority of them do not. They "offer" WiFi but it only works at the office it's not thru the park. The park itself is inside a school zone and there is a football field across so Wednesday-Friday nights it's quite loud. One other thing, it also butts up to a cemetery and there are a lot of sites right on the cemetery line.

Don't expect a refund on your deposit no matter what they tell you. Pay your rent on time. Keep the spot clean. Obey all their rules. Leave your spot spotless. Avoid all the pot holes in the roads. And sit back and hear every excuse why you haven't received your refund check. Best one yet was that it was mailed two days ago. Still waiting.

Extremely disappointed with this park. Not sure how Sam's gave it a rating of 8.5. All roads are in dire need of repair. Pool is constantly out of service, due to not having a professional person service it regularly. Their fix is chlorine tablets. Grounds are neglected, grass is cut once a month. Trash is collected daily during the week. However, it is placed in a trailer and harbored for about a week creating a cesspool for flies and mosquitoes. Laundromat room is never checked, nor are the public bathrooms. Electric is read with their favorite eye, very inconsistent and of course always in their favor. 5 people run the office, plus manager, but not one of them can pick up a weed eater. Lock your car for sure, you are located in the ghetto. Car broken into once and neighbor's car was actually stolen. If there is an option, chose elsewhere. These people have no idea how to run a decent park.

We've been staying here for several months and have watched the park go downhill quickly. The roads are deteriorating, the park amenities are now only the swimming pool, (no laundry, public bath, public shower, workout room or clubhouse.) The utilities are good and the electrical power is good and consistently above 112v. The staff is nice but turnover is huge. When we arrived there were very few vacancies, now approx. 1/4 of the park is empty. 2 street lights are all that's left to light the park and it's quite dark because of this. Other parks are cheaper and better but don't have the shade trees some of these sites have. I agree with the other poster, I have no idea how this place currently is ranked as a 8.5 by Good Sam.

We stayed at Hatch RV Park in our motor home. This is a park with great Texas hospitality. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The park is far enough away from the beach so you don't get the gusty winds from the Gulf or sand in your RV, but close enough that you can catch all the nice area attractions and enjoy great seafood at the restaurants on the beach. We will visit again.
