Grumpy's Meatzzeria

We ordered the Gyros platter. Food was dry with just a dollop of sauce. So I asked for more sauce. They charge $1.75 for one ounce of tatziki. Potatoes were dry too. It was $38.50 for 2 gyro lunches with water. If I t wasn't for the water, I would have choked on the dry terrible food. Overpriced & underwhelming

1/4 burger was awesomeHot and crispy fries!Plan to return and try out all the other yummy looking food. Bottled cokes yay! Great atmosphere inside and friendly staff.

Passed by Victoria TX and had to give it a try since its a 5 star place. When we got there we got greeted by one employee she told us "Welcome" but didn't smile, I ordered the gyro with french fries and my husband ordered the cheese hamburger, the place is neat, I only saw 3 employees there. Let me tell you that the food was delicious it has a lot of flavor in it, the only sad side I see is that IDK if its the concept of (Grumpy) but the employees don't smile, They just answer your questions and make faces. IDK if the 3 of them were in a bad mood but besides that the food was great!

Love this Gyro! Fresh with plenty of meat. Fries were cooked to perfection. We plan to return next time we pass through.

First we went to the address on Yelp... they have a "we moved" sign in the window... but only a few blocks away to 1201 Sam Houston. We found it. Ordered a cheese burger and a Philly cheese steak! BOTH were delicious! The cheese burger was large! Just enough juicy but not too messy! Good meat! The Philly was excellent! All grilled perfectly! Bun was crisp outside soft inside! We asked for extra crispy French Fries & they accommodated! Food was very good we will go back! Thank you Kenneth for the good service!!

First time here and it's a winner. I had the Beef-Lamb gyro, and it was great. That's note worthy because I don't like lamb. The meat was very flavorful and seasoned well. The Tzatziki sauce was on point and blended well with the feta and the meat. The pita was fluffy, soft and tender. I upgraded and got the lemon potatoes and I'm so glad I did. These are absolutely awesome and I will most certainly be back to get more of them and to try other wonderful things. The only downside to this visit is that the have a paper on the counter that explains why the menus don't have the correct price. Maybe since you order at the counter just put up a menu board. Anyway I'll be back sooner rather than later.

Decided to try this place out because I saw their post on Facebook for a burger & fries for $6.99. Man I'm glad I went! My boyfriend loved it as well! I got the 1/4 lbs burger, added jalapeños. My boyfriend got their regular 1/2 lbs burger, added ham & avocado. The burgers were great & had tons of flavor. We also got their cheese sticks & Greek lemon potatoes. The cheese sticks were pretty standard. The lemon potatoes were good & bigger than expected! The cashier was also patient, helpful & super nice. Overall 10 out of 10. We will definitely go back!

This was a great find! Don't let location or decor fool you! This place knows good food! Counter service was pleasant and helpful while we tried to decide between all the options. Definitely will come back when in Victoria again!
